Sample: Transactional batch application
This demonstrates the transactional batch programming model.
The XDCGIVT application is a transactional batch
application that reads and writes files.
Import and configure: 25 minutes
Before importing this sample, make sure that you are
running IBM® Rational® Application Developer for WebSphere
Software version 8.0.1 or later.
Restriction: This sample does not run
on IBM WebSphere® Application Server Developer
Tools for Eclipse.
This sample might require some optionally installable components.
If you encounter errors or cannot find user interface options when
you run the sample, ensure that you installed the following optional
components:
- One of the following servers that supports running batch applications:
- WebSphere Application
Server V8.5.
- WebSphere Application Server V8.0
- WebSphere Application Server V8.0 with WebSphere Extended Deployment Compute Grid V8.0
- WebSphere Application
Server V7.0 with Feature Pack for Modern Batch
- Compute Grid Tools for Modern Batch. To install this component:
- Open Installation Manager.
- Click Modify, and click Next.
- In the Modify Packages page, select IBM Software Delivery
Platform, and click Next.
- In the Translations list, select the languages to install and
click Next.
- In the Features list, expand Enterprise developer tools select WebSphere Batch, and click Next.
- Click Modify.
Click the Prepare to import link for details about
setup and configuration. Click the Import sample link to start
importing the sample into your workspace.
