In this lesson, you tag published assets and search for
assets by using those tags.
To tag a published asset:
- Open the Modeling perspective: Click .
- In the Project Explorer view, right-click the UML model;
then click Publish Asset.
- In the Publish wizard, on the Tag page, you can either
select an existing tag from a list or type a new tag, and press Enter,
or click Add tag. When you add tags, they are
added to a list where other assets can also access them. If you publish
an asset with an existing tag, all the existing tags are added to
the list too.
- Click Finish.
Each time that you change a published asset, the asset version
is updated. For example, the first time that you publish an asset,
the version is 1.0. After you update the asset and republish it,
the asset version is 1.1, and so on. To verify that the asset has
tags, go to the Asset Management perspective: Click . In the Asset Repositories view, expand My Assets , right-click the most recent version of the
published asset, then click Browse Asset. The
asset editor opens and the tags are displayed in the editor area.
To remove a tag from an asset, click the X beside the tag in the editor
or you publish the asset again.
