After
you have installed a custom extension, you can upload
a modified Java archive file for that extension to modify or update
the policy governor or custom review extension.
Before you begin
You must be a repository
administrator to modify existing
custom review or policy extensions.
About this task
Restriction: Do not change the class name of
the custom review or policy extension.
Tip: When
modifying or updating a custom extension, follow these instructions
instead of deleting the extension and re-uploading the .jar file. If
you delete a custom extension, you can no longer see the results and
history of the extension for any assets that used the extension.
Procedure
- Log on to the Rational® Asset Manager web client as a repository
administrator.
- Click Administration.
- Click Custom Extensions.
- For the policy extension or custom review
extension that
you want to update, click Modify.
- In the Modify Extension window, click Browse and
navigate to the updated .jar file on your file system. The name of the .jar file that you upload does not
have to be the same as the original file; however, the name of the
class must not change.
- Click OK. The policy
or review extension will now use the code from the updated .jar file.
