Collaborating on assets in the Rational Asset Manager Eclipse client
Creating a connection to a Rational Asset Manager repository
Once you have installed the Rational® Asset
Manager Eclipse client to an existing version of Eclipse, you must
create a connection to a Rational Asset Manager repository.
After you create this connection, you can work in the Asset Management
perspective.
Importing assets
When you import an asset, you are copying
it into your
workspace so that you can modify or reuse the asset. Importing an
asset is similar to downloading assets from the IBM® Rational Asset Manager web
client. Your Permissions and Roles dictate how you can work with the
assets. For example, if you have the Download permissions,
you can import assets.
Submitting assets
Assets are a collection
of files, information, and metadata that solve a specific business
problem. Assets should be complete, reusable solutions and can be
fairly simple – for example, meeting minutes – or they can also be
very complex – for example, a full implementation for an application
that runs audits.

assets; and view the asset statistics.
