Closed Captioning text:Before you can find assets, you must add a repository connection. You can find the address of your repository on the Extensions page in the Web client. After you have added a repository connection, use the Asset Search view to find assets. Type keywords in the search field, or create more complicated search queries with the advanced search window. Click tags in the tag cloud to list all assets with that tag, and you can add or remove additional filters at any time. As you enter keywords and add or remove tags, search results appear in the Assets view.

Closed Captioning text:In the Asset Editor view, evaluate whether the asset can be reused for your particular context by viewing the general details, attached artifacts, ratings, feedback, and any discussion forums. Asset owners can create forums such as "General discussion" or "Requests for enhancement" for an asset or a group of assets; then, users can create topics in that forum for discussion.

Page title:Importing assets

Closed Captioning text:Import an asset to copy the attached artifact files into your Eclipse workspace. You will see a list of any related assets that you can also import at the same time. The artifacts in an asset can be connected to a software control management (SCM) system such as CVS or Rational Team Concert to make sure you're working with the most recent versions of files. You can also store and manage files in Rational Asset Manager and then reuse those files in your Eclipse workspace by linking an artifact to an existing Eclipse project.
