Lesson 4: Extending a master lifecycle for a community

Extend the basic functionality of a master lifecycles into a customized lifecycle for a comnmunity to manage review processes for assets.
You must have community administrator privileges to create a community lifecycle.
  1. Click Administration.
  2. Click Communities.
  3. Select a community.
  4. Click the Lifecycles tab.
  5. Click New Lifecycle.
  6. Select the Rational Sales Master Lifecycle created in Lesson 3.
  7. Click Next.
  8. For the name of the lifecycle, enter Rational sales presentation lifecycle. This name is viewed at the community level, so when you are choosing a lifecycle name, make sure it is specific enough that the community administrators know what to use this lifecycle for.
  9. Enter the description This lifecycle applies to all Rational presentation assets in sales and marketing and uses a standard workflow.
  10. Click Save.
The master lifecycle has been customized for use in a community.
