If you own assets, you can delete, submit, and modify details
about those assets, including their communities, types, attribute
values, categories, owners, and permissions. You can modify multiple
assets at the same time by using the Bulk Asset Actions tool.
Before you begin
To use the Bulk Asset Actions tool on an asset, you must have
permission to edit the details of that asset.
You can use the Bulk
Asset Actions tool to modify up to 1000 assets at a time. If your
asset search returns more than 1000 assets, only the first 1000 assets
are edited.
Procedure
- Open the Assets page.
- Find assets by using any combination of search keywords,
filters, or tags.
- Click the Modify these assets icon
. The Bulk Asset Actions
page opens and shows the assets from the search results.
- Select one or more assets to modify, submit, or delete.
- To add more assets to the Bulk Asset Actions page, click Assets,
search for assets, and click the Modify these assets icon.
- To remove an asset from the page, select one or more assets,
and then click Remove.
- Click one of the tool icons and specify what to do to the
asset.
- Community: Select a community that
is in the repository.
- Asset Type: Select an asset type that
is in the repository.
- Attributes: Select an attribute that
is in the repository and define a value for the attribute.
- Categorization: Expand a category schema
and select categories.
- Owners: Select the asset owners to
modify, or add a new user by clicking Add User.
- Users: Add new users or user groups
to the assets. You can assign permissions to the users or user groups.
- Delete: Delete the assets from the
repository.
- Submit: After you change assets that
are in the Legacy review processes, the assets revert to the Draft
state and you must submit them again.
- Optional: To override the lifecycle or Legacy
review requirements, select Override review process.
- Complete the action on the assets:
- For the Community, Asset
Type, Attributes, Owners, Users, Delete,
or Submit tools, click OK.
- For the Categorization tool, click Add, Replace or Remove.
If you click Remove, all of the selections
are removed from the asset.
