Create and configure the integration module in Tivoli® Change and Configuration
Management Database (CCMDB) with Tivoli Release
Process Manager.
Procedure
- In CCMDB, ensure that object structures are set up.
- Click .
- Open the Object Structures page.
- Select the New Object Structure icon.
- Create the object structures:
- RAMACTCI
- RAMAUTHCI
- RAMCLASSIFICATION
- RAMOMP
- RAMCITEMPLATE
You must create these object structures for enabling the service
request policy:
See Object structures.
- In CCMDB, ensure that web services are set up.
- Click .
- Open the Web Services Library page.
- In the Select Action menu, select .
- Create the web services:
- RAMACTCI
- RAMAUTHCI
- RAMCLASSIFICATION
- RAMOMP
- RAMCITEMPLATE
- On the List page, click Records.
- Check the web services that you created in the earlier
step.
- In the Select Action menu, click Deploy Web
Service.
- Click
- Click New Integration Module.
- On the Integration Module page:
- In the Name field, type a name
for the integration module.
- In the Version field, type a
version number.
- Next to the Handler Name field,
click the Search icon.
- In the Select Value window, select the handler for Rational® Asset Manager; for
example, RAMHANDLER (com.ibm.ram.ccmdb.im.ram.RAMHandler).
- In the Operational Management Product Name field,
type a name; for example, IBM Rational Asset Manager
- In the Class Name field, type
the name of the service invoker; for example,com.ibm.ram.ccmdb.im.imram.RAMIMServiceInvoker
- On the Logical Management Operations:
- Click New Row.
- Click the Select Value icon that
is next to the Logical Management Operation Name field.
- In the Select Value window, click IMPORTSOFTWAREIMAGE.
- On the Operational Management Products page:
- In the Operational Management Products section, click New
Row.
- Click the Select Value icon that
is next to the Operational Management Product field.
- In the Select Value window, click the Rational Asset Manager OMP.
- Click the button next to the End Point field
and select Go To End Points.
- On the End Points page:
- Click New End Point.
- In the End Point field, type
a name for the end point.
- Click the Select Value button
that is next to the Handler field.
- In the Select Value window, select RAMHANDLER (com.ibm.ram.ccmdb.im.imram.RAMHandler).
- In the Properties for the End Point, complete the following
fields:
- PORT: Type the port number that is used
for the Rational Asset
Manager web application.
- HOST: Type the URL of the Rational Asset Manager server application;
for example, http://host:port/com.ibm.ram.repository.web.was,
where host is the fully qualified name or IP address
of the server and port is the port number. The
repository location can be found in the Rational Asset Manager web client by clicking
the Help icon and then Extensions.
In the Extensions page, locate the Eclipse Client plug-in section.
- PASSWORD: Type the password for a Rational Asset Manager administrator.
- USERNAME: Type the user name for a Rational Asset Manager repository
administrator.
- Click Save to save the end point.
- Click Return With Value.
- On the Integration Module page, click Save to
save the integration module configuration.
