Summary

You watched the creation and average lifecycle of a service through the integration of Rational® Asset Manager and WebSphere® Registry and Repository (WSRR).

Lessons learned

You watched the following stages of service development:
  1. Searching and downloading related assets for reuse
  2. Developing, testing, and modifying a prototype solution
  3. Submitting the solution as an asset in Rational Asset Manager to a review committee
  4. Publishing the approved solution as a concept in WebSphere Service Registry and Repository
  5. Developing, testing, building, and submitting the solution as a formal solution in an asset to Rational Asset Manager
  6. Publishing the service WSDL from the implementation asset in Rational Asset Manager to create a production-ready solution in WSRR
  7. Creating a formal relationship to allow implementation and service to be mapped together at deployment
  8. Deploying the asset into production
  9. Synchronizing the repository with WSRR and moving the asset into 'Manage' state
