Using asset search shortcuts in a batch update task

Create asset searches to add assets that are returned by a search to a batch update task.

Before you begin

You must have an active connection to a repository.

Procedure

To create a shortcut:

  1. From the Asset Search view, define an asset search by using one or more of the following techniques.
    • Type keywords.
    • Use the advanced search.
    • Define the search scope by selecting the type of search that you want to perform from the menu in the Asset Search toolbar.
    • Select one or more filters.
    • Apply one or more tags.
  2. After your search has returned the assets that you want to add to your batch update task, open the menu in the Asset Search view toolbar.
  3. Select Copy to clipboard.
  4. In the Batch editor, find the Assets section. Right-click Asset Searches and select Add an asset search. The Asset Search Query dialog opens.
  5. In the Asset Search Query dialog, paste the search text into the field.
  6. Click OK.
