Both the IBM® Rational® Asset Manager web
client and Eclipse-based client are fully accessible and ready for
standard keyboard navigation.
Accessibility in the web client
As you navigate
the Rational Asset Manager web
client, you can use standard browser-based practices and keyboard
shortcuts. You can also use a screen reader such as JAWS to help you
read the page.
Tip: If you press the tab key to enter
into the body of a rich text editor in the web client, pressing the
tab key again will create a tabbed indentation. You must press Shift-Tab
to back out of the body of the text editor.
Note: Some
functions in the Rational Asset Manager web
client open dialog boxes. These dialog boxes are HTML dialog boxes,
not Windows dialog boxes. The links that open
these dialog boxes have titles that indicate that a dialog box will
open. For example, suppose there is a link labeled Add
review board member that has a title "Opens dialog".
Accessibility in the Eclipse client
When
using the Rational Asset Manager client
in an Eclipse-based IDE, you can use standard Eclipse shortcuts and
keyboard combinations to navigate the workbench view, perspectives,
and other interface elements in your development environment.
