Approving, rejecting, and commenting on assets

If you are a reviewer for an asset, you can approve, reject, or comment on the asset in the Eclipse client.

Before you begin

To approve, reject, or comment on an asset, you must be a reviewer with the permissions to review assets.

About this task

Procedure

  1. Find the asset on the repository by using the Asset Search view. You can search with any combination of keywords, filters, and tags. Your search results are displayed in the Assets view.
  2. To open the Asset Editor view for the asset, in the Assets view, double click the name of the asset.
  3. To view a log of users that have approved, rejected, or commented on the asset in this state and previous states, click the Review tab.
  4. To write a comment without approving or rejecting the asset:
    1. On the General Details tab of the asset, in the Quick Information section, click Comment. The Review tab opens.
    2. In the Add a comment field, type a comment, and then click Post comment.
  5. If you are a reviewer, to approve or reject the asset:
    1. On the General Details tab of the asset, in the Quick Information section, click either Approve or Reject. The Review tab opens.
    2. In the Add a comment field, type a comment. Your comment is displayed with your vote on the Review page.
    3. Click Approve or Reject.
  6. To withdraw or change your approval or rejection:
    1. On the General Details tab of the asset, in the Quick Information section, next to the My Vote link, click Change. Your previous approval or rejection is withdrawn. The Review tab opens.
    2. Return to step 4 to post a comment or step5 to change your approval or rejection.
