You can compare differences and synchronize changes between
the assets that you have imported into your workspace and the assets
on the repository.
Before you begin
To view differences and synchronize assets, you must import
an asset into your workspace. To import assets, see
Importing assets
Procedure
- In the Asset Management perspective, open the Synchronize
view.
- To view the differences between assets in your workspace
and the latest version of the asset on the repository, click Synchronize
assets. The Synchronize view is updated
with a list of assets that have changed.
- Expand assets to work with artifacts, or compare and synchronize
full assets. The Local panel shows
the content of an asset in your workspace; the Server panel
shows the content of that same asset on the repository server.
- Right-click an asset or artifact and choose from the following
options:
- Get Server Contents: The content from
the server replaces the content in your workspace.
- Open In Compare Editor: The Eclipse
Compare Editor opens to compare the contents of the file. If you selected
an asset, the Eclipse Manifest Compare editor opens.
- Open Local: Opens the local file that
is in your workspace in an editor.
- Open Remote: Opens the content that
is on the repository server in an editor.
