Finding assets by using My Tags

Find assets by using the My Tags element, which displays tags that you create.

Before you begin

Before you can work with your tags, you need to have an active repository connection. To create a connection, see Creating a connection to a Rational Asset Manager repository

In the Eclipse client, you can create multiple connections to the repository. Each connection displays the tags that you created in that connection. Use different connections to work on different projects or to work in different communities. When you work with multiple connections, you can keep similar assets for similar projects grouped together.

Procedure

To find assets with the tags that you have created:

  1. In the Asset Repository view, double-click a repository connection. The Repository Editor view opens.
  2. In the My Tags section, click a tag that you have created on the repository. If you hover your mouse over a tag name, you can see the number of assets on the repository with that tag. The Assets view opens and lists all of the assets that are tagged with the tag that you clicked.
  3. Optional: In the Asset Search view, continue to filter your results with any combination of keywords, filters, or tags. To remove a tag filter, in the Assets Search view under the keyword search field, click the tag name.
  4. To view a tagged asset, click the asset name to open the General Details page of that asset in the Asset Editor.
