Specifying directories to become the asset source

Specify the directory that contains the files and folders that you want to use to create assets in a batch update.

About this task

When you perform a batch update, you must specify the directory that contains the files and folders that you want to use to create assets.

Procedure

To specify the directory:

  1. From the Eclipse menu, click File > New > Batch Update Task.
  2. In the Find Assets section of the Batch Editor, expand the menu and select File System.

  3. Navigate to a root folder on your system that contains the files and folders that you want to use to create assets. It does not matter where the folders are in the root directory because you can specify individual files and folders and create rules from them in the Batch Editor.
  4. Click OK. The directory path is displayed in the left side of the Batch Editor.
