Finding assets with filters

Search filters help limit your asset search by using a combination of community, asset type, state, categories or sub categories, or rating.

About this task

You can view filters on the Assets page in the sidebar.

The filters that are displayed change dynamically depending on which assets are displayed in the search results. As you filter your search, you can apply and remove any combination of filters and the assets listed in the search results appear or disappear depending on the filters you choose.

Occasionally, if you find an asset by using filters, you must request access to a community or request permission to view an asset. If an asset is locked and inactive, request access by clicking the Request permission button, you are then prompted to request permission to join the community. The community administrator can evaluate the appropriate permissions for your role.

Procedure

To work with search filters:

  1. Open the Assets page.
  2. Click any of the filters to apply them to the search. You can click a category to apply the category filter. You can then choose any of the sub categories.
Note: The numbers in the brackets indicate how many assets of that filter exist in the repository.
  3. Click the X to remove the filters in any order.
