You can find assets, asset information by visually searching
through the various relationships between assets in the repository.
About this task
You must have an active repository connection. If you do
not have active repository connection, you can create one by following
the
Creating a connection to a Rational Asset Manager repository topic.
Procedure
- Open the Asset Repositories view. If it is not visible
in your workspace, in the Eclipse menu click .
- Right-click on the repository connection that you want
to search and click Visual Browse. The Graphical
Search opens in the editor.
- Search for an asset by using any of
the following techniques:
- Type a keyword in the search field.
- Click any combination of the filters or tags to increase the
search specificity.
Your results will appear the Search view in the upper
right.
- To add assets to the viewer, in
the Search View, click one or more Asset names.
- In the viewer, click on an asset
to see its related assets. After you click an asset, the
related assets appear in the Relationship View, which is the same
area in the upper-right where the assets from your initial search
were listed.
- Select the related assets to view these
in the viewer and continue browsing the repository for assets by using
the relationships.
Results
To remove all assets from the viewer, click Clear
Diagram
.
To group assets on the
viewer by asset type, click Group Assets by Type
.
To turn animations in the viewer on or off,
click Toggle Animation
.
