You can view information about the asset search history,
downloads, permissions, and also the amount of time it took to produce
the asset and the estimated time it would take you to reuse the asset.
A list of asset subscribers and user permissions are also provided.
Before you begin
To view the reports for an asset, you must have the appropriate
permissions to view that asset.
Procedure
- Log in to the IBM® Rational® Asset Manager web
client.
- Find an asset. To find an asset, use the My Dashboard page, asset
subscriptions, the sidebars on the Home page, or any combination of
keywords, filters, or tags on the Assets page.
- Click the name of the asset.
The General Details page
opens.
- On the General Details page, in the sidebar click Reports. The Reports list expands.
- Click the type of report to view:
- Asset Usage: Shows summaries of downloads
by date and by user. You can limit the time range to the most recent
week, month, quarter, year, or since the asset was created. A usage is
counted when a user downloads either the entire asset or an artifact
in this asset. One download per hour, per user is counted as a usage;
for example, if a user downloads 10 artifacts in one hour, those downloads
count as one usage.
- Activity: Lists all changes to the
asset and the user who made the change.
- Asset Search History: Lists all search
queries that have led repository users to this asset.
- Permissions: Lists the asset level
permissions given to users and groups across the entire repository.
Permissions included are defined by the community, in lifecycles,
or as explicit permissions. Permissions are shown only for assets
in a lifecycle. you can also to filter permissions by user or group.
- Related Assets: Lists all assets that
are related to the asset. You can filter by relationship type and
change the Depth field to control how many
layers of related assets appear.
- Subscribers: Lists all the users receiving
notifications about the asset.
