Exporting repository libraries

To create a .zip file of a library that you can import to another Rational® Asset Manager repository, export a library.

Before you begin

To work with repository libraries, you must be a repository administrator.

Procedure

To export a library on the Rational Asset Manager repository:

  1. Log on to the Rational Asset Manager web client as a repository administrator.
  2. Click Administration.
  3. In the Repository Administration sidebar, click Libraries. The Libraries page opens. By default, all libraries on the repository are shown. To see only enabled libraries, click View Enabled.
  4. To open the library to export, click the version number of the library.
  5. In the Library Actions sidebar, click Export. You will be prompted to download a .zip file that contains the assets and metadata for that library.
Note: You can use the library export feature to export up to 1000 assets at a time.
  6. Download the .zip file to a convenient location.

What to do next

You can import and enable the library on another Rational Asset Manager repository. You do not have to extract the .zip file; Rational Asset Manager can import the .zip file directly.
