You can create a relationship between the asset
that you
are publishing and other assets in the repository. These relationships
can be used to meet dependencies and avoid errors when publishing
an asset to WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository.
About this task
On the Associate
page of the Publish wizard, you can associate
the artifacts that you are publishing with other artifacts. By associating
assets, you can publish artifacts of certain types without publishing
other dependent assets. For example, by creating a relationship between
a WSDL file that you want to publish and an XSD file
that exists in WebSphere Service
Registry and Repository, you can publish the WSDL without
having to simultaneously publish the XSD.
Relationships
that you define in the Associate page of the Publish wizard are maintained
on the WebSphere server.
Procedure
- When
the Associate page of the wizard
opens, Rational Asset Manager will automatically search for any related
assets it believes should be associated with the artifacts you are
submitting. To verify any relationship, click Add,
or to verify all the suggested relationships click Add
all.
- To search for dependent artifacts
on the WebSphere Service
Registry and Repository server:
- Click Add
Related Documents.
- Type keywords
to search for any related artifacts.
- From
any search results, select the artifacts that you
want to associate with the artifacts you are publishing.
- To remove any relationship, click Remove.
What to do next
To confirm the list of relationships,
click Confirm or Next.
On
the Confirm page of the Publish wizard, verify your settings. Click Publish to
publish the artifacts to WebSphere Service
Registry and Repository.
