Reverting repository libraries

If elements in the library change after the library is enabled, you can revert the library. Reverting the library re-enables it as it was originally saved and overwrites any changes to the assets or elements that occurred after the library was enabled.

Before you begin

To work with repository libraries, you must be a repository administrator.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Rational® Asset Manager web client as a repository administrator.
  2. Click Administration.
  3. In the Repository Administration sidebar, click Libraries. The Libraries page opens. By default, all libraries on the repository are shown. To see only enabled libraries, click View Enabled.
  4. To open the library to revert, click the version number of the library. Libraries that you can revert have the active version number marked with an asterisk; for example, 1.0 (*).
  5. In the Library Actions sidebar, click Revert.
  6. Review the asset metadata and asset types to change. To verify that you want to re-enable all the elements as the library was originally saved, click Revert.

Results

Any changes to the assets and asset metadata that happened after the library was originally enabled are overwritten.
