Lesson 1.3: Download the sample data and import it into the project

Before you submit a new asset to Rational® Asset Manager, you must first import the sample Eclipse project available in this topic. This Eclipse project is the asset that you submit into the repository.

Download the sample. The sample will become the SampleAuditAsset that you will create in “Lesson 1.5: Add and label asset files.” The sample contains the new auditing process in the New York division and includes information about the new tooling support that is required for that process. Your company has determined that it needs a small service application that tags development efforts with release requirement codes. This new asset contains the design document that outlines the estimated effort and the requirements for the new audit tool, called Audit2007. To download and import the sample data:

  1. Download the following sample Audit2007 project: Audit2007 project
  2. Save the project to your local file system.
  3. Decompress the archived file.
  4. In Eclipse, open the Resource perspective.
    1. Click Window > Open Perspective.
    2. Select Resource.
    3. Click OK.
  5. Drag the Audit2007 directory from your local file system to the Audit2007 project in your Project Explorer view.
