You learned how to create, categorize, and submit an asset
to the Rational® Asset Manager repository.
Lessons learned
You learned how to
create an Eclipse project, add files to that project, and then use
the Asset Editor to create an asset. After you described the asset
and added custom tags to the metadata, you added the files from your
workspace to the asset, categorized the asset within a variety of
categories, and submitted the asset into the repository.
After
submitting the asset in the repository, you used the category search
filters to narrow your search criteria to find assets to reuse in
an hypothetical context.
You can now perform the following
tasks:
- Evaluating the parts of an asset and the differences between common
asset types
- Creating a new eclipse project, importing samples files to the
project, and creating a new asset using the files in this project
- Submitting assets and choosing the correct categories using the
existing category schemas
- Finding assets using the category and asset type filters
