You can search for assets in the Eclipse client by using
advanced search strings.
Before you begin
You must be connected to a Rational® Asset
Manager repository to search assets.
About this task
The primary method of finding assets
is to use a keyword search, which compares keywords to information
in the following sources of information about an asset:
- Names
- Descriptions and short descriptions
- Ratings
- Communities
- Categories
- Attributes and custom attributes
- Tags
- Artifacts, or files within assets
If
you are familiar with the advanced search syntax, you can type advanced
search queries directly in the Asset Search view. You can also use
the Advanced Search section of the Asset Search window to generate
advanced search queries.
Procedure
- In the Eclipse menu, click .
- In the Search window, click the Asset Search tab.
- Click Advanced to expand the Advanced
Search view.
- In the Advanced Search section, type or select keywords
in as many fields as necessary in any combination.
- Optional: In the Search Scope section, you
can select Rational Asset
Manager repository that you want to search. You can also select these
additional options:

- Click Search. The
advanced search query appears in the Asset Search view; search results
for your query appear in the Assets view.
