You can also link forums to multiple communities so that
members of many communities can create topics and posts within one
discussion forum.
Before you begin
To link a forum to a different community, your role in
both communities must have the Forum administration permission.
The forum that you want to share must not
be private. Private forums are indicated by a lock icon that is next
to the name.
Procedure
- Log into the Rational® Asset Manager web
client.
- Locate the forum that you want
to share:
- If the forum is linked to an asset:
- Navigate to that asset by using the search page, the My Dashboard
page, subscriptions, or the sidebars on the home page.
- Click Discussion.
- If the forum is linked to a community:
- Click Communities.
- On the Communities page, click the name of the community.
- Click the Forums tab.
- Click the name of the forum that you
want to share.
Note: If the forum is marked private , then
you can not share this forum across assets or communities. Private
forums are indicated by a lock icon that is next to the name.
- In the Communities Using This Forum section, click Link
Community.
- In the Link Community to Forum dialog, type any part of
the name of a community into the text field; then, click Search.
- Select one or more communities that you want to link to
this forum.
- Click Add.
