Add new users to a community and assign them the roles
and permissions that they will use to access assets in this community.
About this task
You must have a community before you can add users to that
community. If you do not see a community in the list that you want
to add users to, contact your repository administrator and ask that
one be created.
Procedure
- Log into Rational® Asset Manager web
client.
- Open the Administration page.
- To open the community that you want to add new users to,
click the community name.
- Click Add User.
- Type the name of the user or users that you want to add
to the community, then click Search.
- Select the radio button next to each user's name to add
them to the community.
- Click Next.
- Select roles to assign to the user or users.
- Click Finish.
What to do next
Tip: If the roles that are listed do not satisfy
the needs of the users that you are adding, add the users and then
create a new role. You can edit a user's role at any time.
