The overall process for transforming
a UML model includes the following:
- Open the EGL or EGL Web
project that contains the model to transform.
You can use an existing project or create a new project.
- From
the Project Explorer, expand the project and right-mouse click on
the model. Click Edit Transformation Parameters to
create a transformation parameter file (.tpm).
- Apply a transformation
to the UML model. Before running the transformation,
select which transformation parameters to apply to the transformation
by doing
one of the following:
- Click Manage Applied Transformation icon
in the
right upper corner of the Transformation Parameters Editor page and
add the
EGL Application Transformation to the model. This causes a new column,
representing
the applied transformation, to be added to the tree view of the editor.
- Select a model element from the tree view, right click, and select EGL
Application Transformation from the context menu. This
causes
the transformation to be applied to the model (if it is not already
applied)
and adds transformation parameters to the selected element.
- Click Run Transformation to start the transformation.
There
will be a tab in the run wizard for each transformation that is applied
to
the model. Click the tab to specify different projects for each generated
component. At least one of the target projects must be the main project
specified
on the Default page.
