upperCase

If the upperCase property is set to YES, any alphabetic characters that the user enters are converted to upper case. The property applies only to single-byte character input; NO is the default.

Platform Issue
CICS® The property is not needed if the CICS terminal definition includes UCTRAN, which causes CICS to translate all terminal input to uppercase. However, the UCTRAN setting is applicable only if the code runs in segmented mode.
IMS/VS For the upperCase property to be effective, EDIT=ULD must be specified on the TRANSACT macro in the IMS™ GEN. If EDIT=UC is specified, input data is converted to upper case by IMS. If EDIT names a user-supplied transaction input edit routine, the data is edited by that routine and then edited based on the EGL properties specified for the field.
