wrapperCompatibility

The build descriptor option wrapperCompatibility indicates how to regenerate wrappers that you intend to use with handwritten Java™ code when the wrappers were originally generated by VisualAge® Generator 4.5, EGL 5.x, or EGL 6.x.

If you change the parameters of an EGL program that was accessed by way of the Java wrapper, you must regenerate the Java wrapper with wrapperCompatibility set to CURRENT, which is the default.

If you set wrapperCompatibility to anything other than CURRENT, you should use only the current product JAR files and not the JAR files included with the prior versions of the product. For details on accessing the JAR files, see Installing the EGL runtime code for Java.

Values

CURRENT (the default)
Use this option to generate Java wrappers with the current version of EGL. In this case, the wrapper and your handwritten code require runtime access to fda7.jar.
V6
Use this option to generate Java wrappers compatible with runtime classes from EGL 6.x. In this case, the wrapper and your handwritten code require runtime access to fda7.jar and fda6wrappers.jar.
V5
Use this option to generate Java wrappers compatible with runtime classes from EGL 5.x. In this case, the wrapper and your handwritten code require runtime access to fda7.jar and hpt.jar
V4
Use this option to generate Java wrappers compatible with runtime classes from VisualAge Generator 4.5. In this case, the wrapper and handwritten code require runtime access to fda7.jar and hpt.jar.
