Accessing help from an intranet

You can access the remote-based help from the IBM Rational Business Developer information center on the Internet or from an intranet sever that contains the help.

Before you begin

You must have an intranet server that contains the help content.

About this task

To access the web-based help in the information center:

Procedure

  1. Click Help > Help > Contents.
  2. Select one of the configuration settings:
    • Include remote help and give local help priority
    • Include remote help and give it priority
  3. Specify the location of the web-based help.
    • If the desired location is in the list, make sure that it is enabled. To enable the location, select the location and click Enable.
    • If the desired location is not in the list, complete the following steps:
      1. Click New.
      2. Enter the following information about the new location:
        • Name: The name of the location
        • Host: The location of the host server that contains the help
        • Path: The path of the help on the server
        • Protocol: The protocol can be http or https
