If you set the
consoleLib.deferQuit system
variable to YES, the program catches QUIT signals and logs them in
the
consoleLib.quitRequested variable. You
can use the
consoleLib.deferQuit variable
in the following circumstances:
- You can request a confirmation from the user before ending the
program.
- You can automatically back up data before ending.
However, you must ensure that your program monitors the
consoleLib.quitRequested variable.
On Windows, the logical
QUIT key creates the QUIT signal; that key is CONTROL_\ by default.
If consoleLib.deferQuit is set to NO
(the default), the QUIT signal terminates the application.
