The @screenFloatingArea complex property
defines the floating area used for output to a screen. For an overview
of floating areas, see Introduction to Form parts.
You include one or more @screenFloatingArea properties
within the @screenFloatingAreas (note the
plural) property; for more information see @screenFloatingAreas.
The
@screenFloatingArea property includes
the following property fields:
- screenSize
- Number of rows and columns in the screen presentation area, including
any lines or columns used as margins. The following example has 10
rows and 80 columns:
screenSize = [10, 80]
- This property field is required.
- topMargin
- Number of lines before the start of the floating area. The default
is 0. You can use the top margin to display a fixed form such as
a heading.
- bottomMargin
- Number of lines after the end of the floating area. The default
is 0. You can use the bottom margin to display a fixed form such
as a trailer.
- leftMargin
- Number of columns left blank at the left of the floating area.
The default is 0.
- rightMargin
- Number of columns left blank at the right of the floating area.
The default is 0.
