This build style submits a build for i Projects using
the build specification defined for this project. It is only available
whenRational® Team
Concert is installed.
This build style uses the build specification defined in the i Project to
submit the build for this project. When this build style is selected
as the build style of the i Project,
the build specification of this i Project can
be created using the Build Specification editor. It is used by both
individual developer builds and team builds.
The remote system where this build is running should have
Rational Team
Concert build
toolkit installed. This style contributes the following actions to
the Remote Actions menu which can be used by developers to do their
builds:
- Push Changes
- Push any new or changed resources found in the selected project.
A resource is changed if it has been updated locally since the last
time that it was pushed, either by Push Selected or Push Changes.
The first time it is done, all resources are uploaded to the associated
library. Each subsequent upload is incremental.
- Push Selected
- Uploads all selected resources and their children to their corresponding IBM® i source
files and members in the associated library. It creates any resources
that do not exist. It overwrites any changes that have been made on
the server only if confirmed by the user. Use this action to force
the contents of the associated library to match the workspace.
- Submit Build
- Submit the build for this i Project using
its build specification.
When you run a build job, the associated library becomes the current
library of the job. Each of the compile commands in the job that specifies OPTIONS(*EVENTF) generates
an events file in the library where the module or program object is
created. If a compilation does not generate an events file or if that
events file is not in the associated library, those errors cannot
be gathered.
