Options on this panel define the module object created.
See General Dialog Help for information on *CMDDFT settings and
pushbutton help.
- Module
- Specifies the module name for the compiled module object. This
field is prefilled with *SRCMBR. You can select one of the
following values in this field:
- *CMDDFT
- Refers to the module name currently set as default for your system.
- *SRCMBR
- Specifies the name of the member containing the program source
code.
- object-name
- Enter the name of the object to be created.
- Library
- Specifies a library in which the compiled object will be placed.
This field is prefilled with *SRCLIB. You can select one of
the following values in this field:
- *CURLIB
- Refers to the current library. If a job does not have a current
library, QGPL is used.
- *SRCLIB
- Refers to the library containing the current program source file.
- library-name
- Enter the name of the library to be created.
- List
- Select this pushbutton to display and select from a list of objects and
libraries available to you. Selected items are placed into the
Module and Library fields.
- Source stream file
- If the Source stream file checkbox is not selected,
the SRCFILE and SRCMBR parameters will be prefilled and the SRCSTMF will not
be specified.
If this checkbox is selected, the SRCSTMF will be prefilled and
the SRCFILE and SRCMBR parameters will not be specified. The compiler
will ignore the Text 'description' control on this option
panel if it is set to SRCMBRTXT.
- Note:
- This option is not supported in a mixed-byte environment.
- Text 'description'
- Defines a text description that describes the object and its
function. You can select one of the following values in this
field:
- *CMDDFT
- The text description currently set as default for your system is applied
to the compiled object.
- *USRDEF
- User-defined text entered in the description text entry field is
applied to the compiled object.
- *BLANK
- No text description is applied to the compiled object.
- *SRCMBRTXT
- The text description associated with the source file member is applied to
the compiled object. If the source file is an inline file or device
file, the description is blank.
- Replace
- If this checkbox is selected, the existing object, if one exists, is
replaced by its new version. The old version of the object is moved to
library QRPLOBJ and renamed according to the current system date and
time. The text description of the replaced object is changed to the
name of the original object. The old object is deleted at the next IPL
if it has not already been deleted before that time.
If this checkbox is not selected, the existing object is
not replaced. Instead, if an object with the same name
already exists in the specified library, compilation stops and a message is
displayed.
