Making an update site available to others

To enable other groups to install the features from an update site, you must copy the folders and the files in the update site to a shared directory or jar file that is located on a network or on a web site. The copied files must include:
  • The features folder and its contents.
  • The plugins folder and its contents.
  • The content.xml and the artifacts.xml file, which contain metadata for the features and plugins.
  • The update.xml file, which describes the update site.

    3. Click Next.
The wizard validates your selection against the software that is already installed:
      • The wizard displays an error message if there are configuration problems or conflicts that might prevent your feature from being installed.
