Select an item from the View pull-down menu to display the DDS
source in a particular manner. The following list contains information
for each selection on the View menu.
- Maximize workbook
- Expands the Workbook to fill the entire CODE
Designer window.
- Show
- Displays only the selected objects on the Design page. When you
select one of the views, a checkmark appears in the Show cascading
menu.
- Active record only
- Only displays the fields of the active record.
- Dim inactive records
- Shows the fields in non-active records at half-intensity. This
allows you to easily see which fields belong to the active record.
- Field outlines
- Outlines the image of fields to show the space they occupy. This is
useful to view fields with the non-display attribute and text fields with
embedded blanks.
- Help areas
- Draws a rectangle around each help area for all the records in the Design
area.
- Toolbar
- Displays the toolbar in the Design page.
- Palette
- Displays the palette in the Design page where you can create fields and
records in the Design area.
- Ruler
- Displays the ruler to view rows and columns in the Design page.
- Grid
- Displays grid lines to help align the layout of fields and records.
- Zoom
- Enlarges or reduces the font size in the Design page without changing the
window size. Select from the following frame changes:
- Zoom to normal width
- Displays 80 characters of the screen or report in the width of the Design
page.
- Zoom to full width
- Displays the full width of the screen or report in the width of the Design
page.
- Zoom to full page
- Displays the full width and height of the screen or report in the Design
page.
- Zoom in
- Enlarges the font size in the Design page.
- Zoom out
- Reduces the font size in the Design page.
- Change named indicator sets
- Specifies indicators to condition new fields, help specifications, and
keywords for the Design page.
- Select named indicator set
- Displays a cascaded list of previously defined indicator sets.
Selecting an item refreshes the design area.
- 24x80 (DSPF only)
- Displays the screen in a 24x80 column-wide display.
- 27x132 (DSPF only)
- Displays the screen in a 27x132 column-wide display.
- Move in current display size only
- Applies movement functions to your current display size only if you are
working in more than one display size.
- Previous record
- Makes the previous record in the Design page active.
- Next record
- Makes the next record in the Design page active.
