Opening the software analysis configuration editor

This topic describes how to open the software analysis configuration editor.

You can open the software analysis configuration editor in the following contexts: from the main toolbar, from the perspective's project explorer view, or from a programming language editor. The context has no effect on this function; in each context the editor opens in the same way.

The following subtopics describe how to open the software configuration editor in each context.

From the main toolbar

Follow these steps:
  1. Click the down arrow beside the Software Analyzer button Software Analyzer on the main toolbar.
  2. Click Software Analyzer Configurations.

From the project explorer view

Follow these steps:
  1. In the project explorer view of your perspective, right-click a project, a folder, or a source code file.
  2. Click Software Analysis > Software Analysis Configurations.

From an editor

Follow these steps:
  1. Open a source code file in COBOL, PL/I, or System z® LPEX editor.
    Note: The source file can be either a local file in the project explorer view or a remote file in the Remote Systems view.
  2. Right-click the editor area.
  3. Click Software Analysis > Software Analysis Configurations.
The software analysis configuration editor opens.
