The Help specification properties notebook defines an association between
an area of the display for which the program enables cursor-sensitive

tabbed pages:
The Text page defines what text appears when the help key is
pressed.
- Format

available:
- DDS record (HLPRCD)
- Displays another display file with the text when you select Help.
You can specify the location of the text by entering the name of the
File, Library, and Record. If the
Library or File fields are blank, the program assumes *LIBL and the file which
contains this help-specification.
- Office document (HLPDOC)

Help. You can specify the location of the text by entering the name of
the Folder, Document, and Label.

specifications available as extended help.
- Not available as extended help (HLPEXCLD)

The Area page contains information about the selected area for which you
are specifying cursor-sensitive help.
- Rectangle
- Displays the text when the cursor is in the rectangle that is defined by
the coordinates on this page.
- Entire record (*RCD)
- Displays the text when the cursor is in the record. The record area
is the full width of the display, window, or pull-down menu. It extends
from the row the first field begins on, to the row the last field ends
on.
- Secondary help only (*NONE)
- Displays the text through secondary help.
- For the record format (HLPRCD), the program displays secondary help when a
user presses Page Up or Page Down while in help.
- For UIM panel format (HLPPNLGRP), the program displays secondary help when
a user presses Help while in help, or when a user presses F2.
- Named field (*FLD)
- Displays the text when the cursor is on the specified field. If the
field is a choice or a push button field, select Choice number to
specify the value with which the help is associated.
- Note:
- If you select a field on the Design page before creating a help
specification, the program automatically fills in this check box. In
addition, the field name is identified in the combination box. If you
selected a choice in a choice field, the program selects the choice number in
that combination box as well.
- Constant field (*CNST)
- Displays the text when the cursor is on the constant which has a matching
HLPID keyword.
- Same position in both display sizes

the help specification, the entry fields you can define will vary.

library name.
