Using hover help

Hover help provides the content of an INCLUDE statement or COPY statement. It an also provide the translated content of a preprocessor statement. The content is displayed in a pop-up window. The hover information window provides a toolbar that you can use to navigate the displayed information.

About this task

The text in the hover information window displays using the format and style defined by the Syntax Coloring preference. If there are remote errors, or problems, real-time syntax warnings annotations are displayed and the first problem is displayed when the hover information window opens. Hovering over an annotation warning, overlays the existing hover information window with another one containing the annotation warning information. COPY and INCLUDE statements within the hover information window are a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink causes a hover information window for that element to overlay the existing hover information window.

To use hover help, hover the cursor over element and the hover information window opens. Pressing F2 over the focused text also opens the hover information window. The toolbar provides navigation within the window.
