Setting colors and fonts

The Colors and Fonts preference is used to set the default font for the editors in the workspace. It provides a general setting for text when working with an editor. However, you can customize various elements in the PL/I editor by using the PL/ISyntax Coloring preference.

Procedure

  1. Click Window > Preferences > General > Appearance > Colors and Fonts.
  2. Click + to expand PL/I.
  3. Select PL/I Editor Text Font and then click the Edit button. The Font window opens.
  4. Use the Font window to set the font, style, size, and effects, and click OK.
Tip: To preserve column alignment in the editor, choose a monospace font.
  5. To modify the font used to compare PL/I files:
    1. Click + to expand Text Compare.
    2. Select PL/I compare text font and then click the Edit button. The Font window opens.
    3. Use the Font window to set the font, style, size, and effects, and click OK.
