Select one of the following to choose how to debug your ILE COBOL program
or module:
- *CMDDFT
- No parameter will be passed to the host and the host defined command
default for the DBGVIEW parameter will be used.
- *STMT
- The compiled module can be debugged using symbolic names and statement
numbers. The system host debugger supports this, but the CODE/400 Debug
Tool does not.
- *SOURCE
- The compiled program can be debugged at the source-level in the CODE/400
Debug Tool and the system host debugger.
- *LIST
- The compiled program can be debugged at the listing-level in the CODE/400
Debug Tool and the system host debugger. With this option, you can
debug the module even if the source or program are subsequently moved after
the compile. However, this option will increase the size of your
compiled object, without affecting the runtime performance of it.
- *ALL
- Equivalent to specifying *STMT, *SOURCE and *LIST combined.
- *NONE
- If you select this choice, you will not be able to use the CODE/400 Debug
Tool or system debugger on this module. This option is typically used
on the production level of the module, once all testing is complete.
- compress-listing-view
- Specifies if the listing view is compressed or not when *LIST or *ALL is
specified in debug-view. The possible values are:
*NOCOMPRESSDBG
The listing view is not compressed.
*COMPRESSDBG
The listing view is compressed when *LIST or *ALL is specified in
debug-view.
