Launch a TXSeries web administration console

The TXSeries administration console allows you to configure and manage your CICS® regions, SFS servers, and PPC Gateway Servers.

Before you begin

Create a connection to your AIX® server. See Connecting to a remote AIX server. Your AIX server must have TXSeries installed and running, and the web administration console must configured and you will need to know the port number. By default, when TXSeries is installed the web administration console is enabled and uses port 80. For more information, see Configuring IBM® TXSeries Administration Console.

Procedure

  1. Access the Remote Systems view. Select Window > Show View > Remote Systems.
  2. If you are not using port 80, configure a non-default port. If your TX Series web administration console is set up to run on the default port 80, omit this step.
    1. Right-click the connection and select Properties.
      Select properties
    2. Select TXSeries and enter the administration console port for this connection in the TXSeries Administration Console port text box. Click OK.
      Enter non-default port number
  3. Launch the TXSeries administration console. Right-click your AIX connection and select Launch TXSeries Administration Console. The TXSeries administration console will open in a browser. Depending your workbench preferences, an internal browser will open in the workbench or an external browser will open. If you want to change the browser preference, select Window > Preferences > General > Web Browser.TXSeries Administration console in browser
