Use this entry field to select the level of debugging available for your
module or program.
Click on the down arrow to display the following list of valid choices and
select one.
- *CMDDFT
- The default currently set on your host system. Not necessarily the
installation defaults.
- *STMT
- Select *STMT to debug a module or program using the Line Numbers or
Statement Numbers of the compiler listing. Line Numbers are shown on
the left-most column of the source section of the compiler listing when the
Use SEU sequence numbers box is left unchecked in the Listing/Generation page. Statement Numbers
are shown on the right-most column of the source section of the compiler
listing when the Use SEU sequence numbers box is left unchecked in
the Listing/Generation page.
- *SOURCE
- Select *SOURCE to debug a module or program while viewing the source
statements. This view is not available if the root source member is a
DDM file.
- *LIST
- Select *LIST to debug a module or program using a listing view. The
listing will show expanded /COPY statements and the DDS of externally
described files if you have selected these options from the Listing/Generation page.
The listing view will not show any indentation which you may have requested
using the Source listing indentation field.
- *COPY
- Select *COPY to debug a module or program using both a source and copy
view. The source view is the same source view generated for the *SOURCE
option. The copy view has all /COPY source members included.
- *ALL
- Select *ALL to debug a module or program using the root source, the /COPY
source, and the listing views. The debug views created with *ALL are
the same as if you specified *SOURCE, *COPY, and *LIST.
- *NONE
- Select *NONE if you do not intend to debug your module or program.
- Note:
- If changes are made to any source members after the compile and before
attempting to debug the program, the source views for those source members may
not be usable.
