Data element table

The Data Element Table view contains information about the data items declared in the program.
The data element table in the Data Element Table view can contain the following information about each data item.
The data element table is based on the parsing of a program including copybooks associated with the program. Parsing includes real-time syntax checking of the program, and included and found copybooks. If you double-click the a row in the table, the corresponding data in the source file is highlighted in the editor. A right-mouse click within a row, opens a pop-up menu. From the pop-up menu, you can do the following actions:
The Data Element Table view provides toolbar items and a drop-down menu for filtering the data to display in the table. You can also hide the type of information to display.
Type search text to filter by Name
Limit the data shown by name.
Show data menu items
Shows a list of functions to perform on the Data Element Table.
Columns
Select which columns to display in the table. The Name column is always displayed. The Name column is sorted alphabetically. It can be sorted in ascending or descending order using the sort icon on the column name field. You can change the size of a column by dragging the column header. Columns can also be dragged from one location into another.
Filters
Select Filter to define a search argument to limit the program data items shown based on the name value specified as the search argument. You can use a wildcard to narrow or broaden the search scope.
Reset view
Sets the filter and columns to the default settings.
Refresh automatically
Refreshes the data element table automatically whenever the symbol table is parsed successfully within the editor. If this option is disabled, the table can be refreshed manually using the refresh icon.
