Linux, UNIX, Windows, and IBM i connections and server access

The Remote System Explorer works with Linux, UNIX, AIX®, and Windows servers, along with the IBM® i Integrated File System and IBM i Native File System. You can export, import, manage remote files, and execute commands in remote shells for these types of remote servers. You can also drag/drop and copy/paste between two servers of the same or different types. For example, you can drag and drop a file from your IBM i server to your Linux server, from one Linux server to another, or from one file in your Linux server to another file in the same server. This section of the online help explores how to connect to different types of servers and work with remote applications.
