| Remove sequence number and date fields on download |
Specifies whether or not to remove the 12-byte sequence
number and date fields from every record of a member when it is transferred
from a source physical file into a project. This is useful when you are storing
your projects in a repository, such as that provided by ClearCase®,
and using remote source files only to compile and build your projects. The
sequence number and date fields are always regenerated when the member is
transferred back to a remote source file. If you have requested sequence number
warnings to be generated, changing this option and clicking OK or Apply causes
all members of i Projects in
the workspace to be checked to see if they comply with this setting. |
Do not remove sequence numbers and date fields. |
| Generate sequence number warnings |
Specifies if local members are scanned for sequence
numbers that would be in conflict with the Remove sequence number
and date fields on download setting. A warning is generated in
the Problems View for each line that appears to be in conflict with the setting.
If you choose to generate these warnings you can also specify a limit for
the number of warnings. |
Do not generate any warnings. |
| Limit sequence number warnings |
If you are generating sequence number warnings, then
each time a local member is modified it is checked to see if it has any lines
that appear to have sequence numbers. Those lines that conflict with the Remove
sequence number and date fields on download setting are flagged
with warnings. This can generate a large number of warning messages. |
Do not limit sequence number warnings, because sequence
numbers are not generated. |
| Maximum warnings per member |
If you limit the warnings for each local member you
can set the maximum here. The allowable range is from 0 to 999999.
Setting this limit too high can generate many duplicate warnings and can result
in poor performance. |
10 warnings per member. |
| Enable sequence number actions |
Specifies whether or not the i Project Navigator should enable the actions to add and remove sequence number and
date fields from local members stored in the workspace. These actions are
useful when you are storing your projects in a repository. |
Disable the actions. |
