Use the Image Button Web component to provide a graphical button
to submit the form.
General tab (iwcl:ImageButton)
- Name
- Enter a unique identifier for the IBM® i Web component. Do not use blanks or hyphens in a name. See Rules for IBM i Web component names and values.
- Image file
- Enter the relative or absolute path for the file name identifying the
image that is to be used.
- Alternative text
- Enter the text description to be displayed in place of the Web component
when it cannot be loaded.

- Width
- Specify the width of the Web component when it is displayed in a browser.
- Height
- Specify the height of the Web component when it is displayed in a browser.
- Border
- Specify the thickness of the border surrounding the Web component.
- Alignment
- The options for alignment of the Web component pertain its alignment in
relation to surrounding elements on the page. Alignment values fall into horizontal
and vertical alignment categories.
The values for horizontal alignment are
Left and
Right,
where:
- Left
- Places the Web component down and to the left of the surrounding text.
Subsequent text wraps around the right side of the image.
- Right
- Places the Web component up and to the right of the surrounding text.
Subsequent text wraps around the left side of the image.
The values for vertical alignment are:
Top,
Text
top,
Middle,
Absolute middle,
Bottom,
Absolute
bottom, and
Baseline, where:
- Top
- Aligns the top of the image with the top of the tallest item in the line.
- Text top
- Aligns the top of the image with the top of text in the line.
- Middle
- Aligns the baseline of the current line with the middle of the image.
- Absolute middle
- Aligns the middle of the current line with the middle of the image.
- Bottom and Baseline
- Both align the bottom of the image with the baseline of the current line.
- Absolute bottom
- Aligns the bottom of the image with the bottom of the current line.
- Initial state
- Select Disabled or Hidden, or both.
- Disabled
- Indicates that the Web component is not available for use.
- Hidden
- Indicates that the Web component is not visible on the page.
- Access key
- Specify a character to be associated with a shortcut key that a user selects
to bring focus to the Web component.
- Tab index
- Enter a number for the tab order of the Web component that is created.
For example, a value of 1 means that this Web component is the first object
to receive focus in the tab sequence.
Events tab
- Events
- Choose any of the events in the list and use the JavaScript language
to code an action for that event in the Script field. For example,
if you select OnBlur , you might code the script alert("not
