A keyword is the name used to identify a specific function. You can describe additional information about the fields in DDS files with function keywords. DDS relies on keywords to achieve specific results. You can associate some keywords with the entire file, others with a specific record format or field. They are entered in positions 45 through 80 of a DDS statement.
Depending on the DDS file type, different keywords are valid. For example, to modify the screen's appearance or the screen/user interaction in a display file, you can use some of the following keywords:
