Group properties

The Group properties notebook allows you to define a set of records which are used together to form a display or report. This notebook contains the following tabbed pages:

Basics page

The Basics page contains the general properties of the group.

Group
Displays the name of the group.

Available
The items in this text box list the records in the file that you can add to this group.

Selected
The items in this text box list the records in the file that are contained in this group.

To add a record to this group, select the record and click on >>. The record will move to the Selected text box.

To remove a record from this group, select the record and click on <<. The record will move to the Available text box.

Tip:
Multiple records can be selected before they are moved. Simply highlight the records and press one of move buttons to move them.

Styles

The Styles page allows you to change the default name prefix when you create new groups.

Default name prefix
Specifies a prefix of up to 7 characters when creating new objects. When creating a new object of this type, the default name will consist of this prefix plus a trailing number to make it unique.
