Trying to set a service entry point can result in a conflict with
another service entry point that is already set. Similarly, when you try to
set a service entry breakpoint by modifying an existing one, you can end up
with a conflict.
About this task
If a service entry point that you are setting or modifying results
in a conflict, you will be prompted via dialog to remove the existing service
entry point. When setting or modifying service entry points, the following
conflict rules apply:
- If a service entry point is already set in a program or service program,
trying to set a service entry point on modules or procedures in this program
will cause a conflict.
- If a service entry point is already set in a module:
- Trying to set a service entry point on its containing program or service
program will cause a conflict.
- Trying to set a service entry point on any procedures in this module will
cause a conflict.
- Trying to set a service entry point on any other module in the same program
is not a conflict and you will be able to set the service entry point.
- Trying to set a service entry point on any procedures of any other modules
in the same program is not a conflict and you will be able to set the service
entry point.
- If a service entry point is already set in a procedure:
- Trying to set a service entry point on its containing program or service
program will cause a conflict.
- Trying to set a service entry point on its containing module will cause
a conflict.
- Trying to set a service entry point on any other procedures of this program
or service program is not a conflict and you will be able to set the service
entry point.
