Checkpoints

Checkpoints are snapshots of the current state of the DDS saved into the CODE temporary directory with the extension of .CHK. Saving a checkpoint does not save any current view settings such as selected object(s) or which application page is on top. Checkpoints are the main method of saving a backup copy of your data.

Checkpoints are generated when:

To revert to a checkpoint, you call up a dialog that lists each checkpoint along with information about it. This information can be its description and the time it was created. Click on the checkpoint you want. The current state of the file becomes a new checkpoint, and the selected checkpoint becomes the active document.
