Push-to-client provides centralized distribution of software analysis configurations. Software analysis configurations are stored on a centralized server and are then pushed out to client workstations when the clients connect to the server.
To use push-to-client you first configure a remote z/OS® system as a push-to-client primary system. There may also be nonprimary systems that shadow the primary system. The next step is to create a master workspace on one workstation and configure connections between that workstation and the push-to-client server. The final step is to export software analysis configurations from the master workspace workstation to the push-to-client server.
When a user at a client workstation connects to a primary or nonprimary push-to-client server, the push-to-client components determine whether there are software analysis configurations to be downloaded to the client. If so, then a message is displayed on the client workstation and the configurations on the push-to-client server are downloaded.
