Doing basic tasks with the software analysis configuration window
You can open the software analysis configuration window and
switch modes.
Changing the window mode
About this task
The software analysis configuration window has
two modes, one for working with software analysis configurations and
one for working with baseline analysis configurations.
In software analysis configuration mode, the Scope and Rule tabs
are available.
In baseline analysis configuration mode, the Configuration tab
is available.
The window opens in the software analysis configuration mode.
Procedure
Switch modes by clicking an item in the left pane
of the window.
To work on software analysis configurations, click Software
Analyzer or a software analysis configuration below it.
To work on baseline analysis configurations, click Baselined
Software Analyzer or a baseline configuration below it.
Results
The window changes to the selected mode.
Opening the window
About this task
You can open the software analysis configuration window in
the following contexts: from the main toolbar, from the project explorer
view, or from a programming language editor.
Procedure
On the main toolbar:
Click the down arrow beside Software
Analyzer.
Click Software Analyzer Configurations.
In the project explorer view:
Right-click a project, a folder, or a source code file.
Open a source code
file in the COBOL, PL/I, or System z® LPEX editor. The source file can be either a local file in the project explorer
view or a remote file in the Remote Systems view.
