When you disable a service entry point, it remains in the IBM® i Service Entry Points view. To have your program stop at a service entry point that you have disabled, select and enable it. The advantage of disabling a service entry point instead of deleting it is that you do not have to specify the service entry point settings again in order to set the service entry point.
Disabled
service entry points are indicated in the IBM i Service Entry Points view in the Enabled column (the
column value reads No). When a service entry
point is disabled, you can choose Enable from its pop-up
menu or you can select the Enable service entry point push
button (
). The Disable menu item and Disable
service entry point push button (
) are not available
when a selected service entry point is already disabled. When a service entry
point is enabled, its Enabled column value reads Yes.
