Importing IBM i Resources

Remote objects are those objects that can be added to your project from the associated library that you specified for the project.

To show remote objects:

To show remote objects that are not in your project, but exist in the associated library, right-click the project and select Show Remote Objects from the pop-up menu. This action will display the objects in the associated library merged with the IBM i resources that are in your project.

To add a resource to the local project when the remote objects are shown, right-click the name of an IBM i resource and select Add to Project. You can add resources to a project this way rather than importing remote objects (as described above).

The decorations on the icons show whether the object exists only on the server, only in your workspace, or on both the server and the workspace. See i Project icons and decorations for more information.
