A System Scorecard Activity collects the following data:
Validates the runtime host by checking for the required system
tools.
Examines the application's executables and shared libraries. This
data is used to provide suggestions for configuration changes that
can increase the application's performance.
The results can be viewed in the Scorecard Viewer.
Procedure
Right click on a Session node in the Performance
Explorer and select New Activity.
The New Activity
Wizard will open.
Select the System Scorecard activity
type.
Enter a name for the new Activity.
If the target system is x86 Linux, click Finish and
ignore the following steps. Otherwise, click Next.
Select the minimum platform on which the application is
expected to run. Select Auto if
you are not sure what the minimum platform should be.
Select the ideal platform. Recommendations will focus on
performance tuning for this platform. Select Auto if
you are not sure what the ideal platform should be.
Click Finish.
The
newly created Activity will appear in the Performance Explorer and
begins its life in the new state. You are now
ready to start a performance run.
