Code coverage information can be opened and generated in
the following report formats: workbench, file, PDF, and
HTML.
- Workbench Report
- Workbench reports are organized according to the following hierarchy: . Coverage percentage
can be shown for each of these levels to give you an overall view
of program coverage. Note that if a file is used by more than one
program, in a workbench report you will only see results for the file
coverage under the program you are testing. If you want to see coverage
for a file as it is used by more than one program, open or generate
a File Report. In a workbench report you can
expand or collapse nodes representing the hierarchy of your program,
sort results, filter results to show or hide information, open source
in an editor that explicitly shows lines covered by the test run,
and more.
- File Report
- File reports are organized according to the
following hierarchy: . Files are often used by multiple programs. Open or
generate a File Report if you want to see coverage
results for a file as it is used in more than one program. In a file
report you can expand or collapse nodes representing the hierarchy
of your source file, filter results according to threshold, open source
in an editor that explicitly shows lines covered by the test run,
and more.
- PDF Report
- If you need to print your code coverage report or email a report
in a convenient format, you may want open or generate a PDF report.
- HTML Report
- Open or generate an HTML report if you want to view the results
in a browser. You can view in the internal workbench browser, or depending
on your preferences under, open the report
in an external browser. HTML reports are also convenient for publishing
to a team web server if you want to provide a convenient way for other
testers to view results. An HTML report contains hyperlinks for navigating
the report and sorting columns.
