When you open a file in the System z® LPEX Editor or JCL Editor, an outline
of the file opens in the Outline view. You can
filter the contents of the Outline view to make
it easier to focus on specific sections of a file.
About this task
You can control what is shown in the
Outline view
in several ways. From the
Outline view, you can
control the data items or expand and collapse the outline of a JCL
file.
Procedure
- To expand and collapse program sections in the Outline view,
click
or
next to the program section you
want to expand or collapse. When you place the cursor on a line in
the editor, the outline expands or collapses the corresponding node.
- To limit the data that is shown by name, click
and select Filters. - Type a name pattern in the field. You can use the *
and ? wildcard characters in the filter string. Separate multiple
filter strings with commas.
- Click Ignore case to match strings
in upper, lower, or mixed case.
- Click OK. Any elements that match
the filter strings are hidden in the Outline view.
To show any of these filtered elements, select Filters again,
delete the filter strings from the field, and click OK.
