You can export configuration files locally to your file
system. You can then send the configuration to a user so that they
can then manually import it. You can also export a configuration locally
as a way of backing up your database connections, preferences,
remote systems artifacts, software analyzer configurations, snippets,
and software analyzer custom rules and categories.
Procedure
- Open the export configuration dialog. Click . The dialog
opens.
- Select the configuration items that you want to export. For example, you can select Remote Systems Artifacts, Database
Connections, Eclipse Preferences. If you
expand Eclipse Preferences, you will see a
list of the preference files that will be exported. If a description
is available, it will be displayed in the Description column.
Click Next.
- In Location, choose a folder to
export the configuration to.
- Click Finish to export the configuration.
