The System z® LPEX
Editor provides content assistance for commands that you enter on
the command line. Content assistance is available for base LPEX commands, System z LPEX commands, and
ISPF primary commands when you are using the editor in ISPF mode.
Procedure
To open content assistance for System z LPEX Editor line commands:
- Place the cursor in the System
z LPEX Editor command line and press Ctrl+Spacebar. If you know
part of the command name, you can type a partial command and then
press Ctrl+Spacebar. For example, type c and
then press Ctrl+Spacebar to display all commands that begin with the
letter c. The editor displays a list of line
commands to choose from.
- To select a suggested command, press the Up and Down arrow
keys to highlight it and then double-click the command. The command is added to the command line.
- Optional: If the command has parameters, add
the parameters to the command line. For more information
about line commands, see the related topics.
- To run the command, press Enter. The command
output displays.
