CODE Debugging Options for OPM COBOL/400

Select one of the following options to choose how to debug your OPM COBOL/400 program.

*CMDDFT
No parameter will be passed to the host and the host defined command default will be used.

*SRCDBG
The compiled program can be debugged at the source-level in the CODE/400 Debug Tool. As well, the error messages from the compile will be presented in the CODE Error List window.
Note:
The Debug Tool will not be able to find the source if you subsequently move it to another library after compiling.

*LSTDBG
The compiled program can be debugged at the listing-level in the CODE/400 Debug Tool. As well, the error messages from the compile will be presented in the CODE Error List window.
Note:
The listing is actually compressed and stored with the program object so the Debug Tool can always find it. However, the cost of this is that your program object will increase in size when compiled with this option. Runtime performance of your program is not affected.

None
If you select this choice, you will not be able to use the Debug Tool on this program. As well, the compiler errors will not be presented in the CODE/400 Error List window. *NOLSTDBG and *NOSRCDBG are the equivalent parameter values of the CRTCBLPGM command.
