You can create or delete custom rules.

Creating a custom rule

About this task

You create custom rules from templates. For a description of the available templates, see the following:

Procedure

  1. To open the Custom Rules and Categories page of the Preferences, click Windows > Preferences > Software Analyzer > Custom Rules and Categories.
  2. Click Add Rule. The Add Custom Rule wizard opens
  3. Select the category to which you want to add a rule and click Next.
  4. Select the template for the custom rule and click Next.
  5. Set values for the parameters and click Finish. For more information about parameters for each template, see the template descriptions.

Deleting a custom rule

Procedure

To delete a custom rule on the Custom Rules and Categories preference page, select the rule and click Delete Rule.
