If you think that Java™ Tools
might be the origin of a problem, collect diagnostic data that you
or IBM® Software Support can use to diagnose and
resolve the problem.
To collect diagnostic data for Java Tools,
record the following information:
- The version and release of the IBM i system
that you are using
- Any relevant project data available, such as:
- The Java or Web project exported in
a project interchange file. Right click on the project and select .
- The IBM i programs
in a save file, if any are available. Be sure to include the program
source and any data files.
- Steps to recreate the problem.
- Any log files that are available. Log files can be found by the
following method:
- In the runtime configuration file for the program call bean, ensure
the WDT_TRACE property is set to all to enable
tracing. The runtime configuration file is located in the source folder
of your project.
- Go through the steps that reproduce the problem.
- Capture the contents of the console to a text file. This can be
done by selecting all the text in the console, and copying and pasting
the information to a new text file.
- Copy the .log file found in your workspace\.metadata folder
