At any time, a number of jobs are running on your IBM® i server.
You, or other members of your team, might be performing different actions
at the same time. To keep track of jobs, use the Remote System Explorer's
Jobs subsystem to identify subsets of server jobs and view job information.
The Jobs subsystem uses filters to select which jobs to display in the Remote
Systems view. When you create a job filter, all jobs that match its criteria
are listed in the Remote Systems view (when you expand the filter). You can
also track jobs in the Job Status view.
The Jobs subsystems contains categories for:
- Active jobs: Any active jobs active on the IBM i server
- My active jobs: Your active IBM i jobs
- My jobs: Your active and inactive jobs
- My host server jobs: Your jobs initiated by the Remote System Explorer
(that start with QZRC)
- My VisualAge® RPG
DDM jobs: Your jobs initiated by VisualAge RPG
See the related links for information on how to:
- Create job filters
- Display job logs
- End jobs
- Add jobs to the Job Status view
Note: Jobs are categorized by the IBM i subsystem
in which they are running, not to be confused with the Jobs subsystem in which
they are displayed.
