For Screen Designer, the top two entries on the Palette, Select and Marquee are tools whose names define a function that will be performed. Select is the default. The other entries are items that can be added to your DDS display file and are grouped by categories. When adding items to your DDS display file, leave the Select entry of the Palette selected. To add an item, select the item on the Palette and click the location in the design area where the new item should appear on the screen. Drag and drop works also. To create a help specification, select the Palette's Help Specification entry, click in the design area to specify the top left corner of the area you want the help specification to be, drag the mouse pointer to the lower right corner of the desired area and release the mouse button to complete. This specifies the location and size of the help specification.
Marquee allows you to select an area of the displayed record. If you want to delete, move, or align all fields in a specific area of the screen, you can use the Marquee tool to select this area. All fields within the marked area are selected and the subsequent action, such as a delete action, applies to all of them.
