Exporting and importing baseline archives

You can export or import baseline archives between the software analysis configuration window and local baseline archive files.

About this task

A baseline software analysis includes two items, a reference to a software analysis configuration and a baseline archive. The referenced software analysis configuration must be available when the baseline analysis configuration is run.

Therefore, typically, when an exported baseline archive is sent to other persons for their use, the companion software analysis configuration must also be sent. The companion software analysis configuration includes rules and a scope. The rules and the source code files that are defined in the scope must be exported and sent in addition to the baseline archive.
