When you set a line breakpoint, you can specify optional parameters
or conditions for that breakpoint. When entering conditional statements, any
non-zero value is considered true and will stop program execution (depending
on the language that you are debugging).
About this task
To set a conditional breakpoint:
Procedure
- Right-click in the Breakpoints window and select the line breakpoint
option in the Add Breakpoint group.
- In the resulting breakpoint wizard, complete all entries that are
required to set the breakpoint. When the required entries have been made,
the Next push button will be available.
- Click Next to proceed to the second page
(Optional parameters) of the breakpoint wizard.
- In the Optional parameters page, complete
any or all optional parameters that you want as conditions for your breakpoint.
- Click Finish to set the conditional breakpoint
and dismiss the dialog.
