Labeled Input Field

Use the Labeled Input Field tool to create an input field and an associated label field.
To create a labeled input field in an existing map, complete the following steps:
  1. Click the cursor on Labeled Input Field in the Advanced palette.
  2. Move the cursor to the Design canvas. It is not necessary to hold down the mouse button.
  3. Click the location that you want on the Design canvas. If the location is not valid, the fields will not be added to the Design canvas.

You can also draw a sizing box, as is done with a table. However, by default the label field is 5 characters wide and the input field is 1 characters wide. Thus, the size of the drawn box will not affect the sizing of the fields.

A warning is displayed if the input field cannot fit in the specified location.

Reverse Layout Field

The Reverse Layout Field setting reverses the locations of the input and label fields. To access this option, you must enable bidirectional support.
