n the CARMA Repositories view, to view the contents of
an element, you double click it or right click it and select Open or Open
with.... This opens the element in browse mode. Elements
that are opened in browse mode are placed in a temporary location
and are not saved. If you want to change the element, you must first
extract the element to a project.
Note: When you extract an element, the element dependencies are extracted
to a temporary folder so that the dependencies can be resolved.
To display the history of an extracted element:
- Right click the dataset member in the MVS™ Subproject.
- Select Team.
- Select Open Current Output Listing. The Print
Element window opens.
- Enter H for the Type of print requested.
- Click OK. The listing dataset is opened
in the editor.
Note: Right clicking an element, selecting Custom Action>Print
Element, and specifying the Type of print requested stores
the output in a temporary dataset. Developer or System z® displays the dataset name if the Print
Element request was successful. For custom actions, the
dataset is not opened automatically. You can navigate to the specified
dataset in the RSE view to open it.
