Adding primary keys to columns

You can add primary keys to table columns in Unified Modeling Language (UML) class diagrams and Information Engineering (IE) or Integration Definition for Information Modeling (IDEF1X) notation diagrams.

You must have a database diagram that has tables open and active in the diagram editor.
To add a primary key to a column:
  1. In the Palette, click Primary Key.
  2. Click the table column to which you want to add a primary key.
  3. Follow the instructions in the Primary Key wizard.
  4. Click Finish.
Note: You can also use the action bars on tables to add primary keys to columns.
