Creating enterprise beans

You can use Unified Modeling Language (UML) class diagrams to create enterprise beans.

You must have a class diagram open in the J2EE perspective.
To create an enterprise bean:
  1. In the Palette, click a types of enterprise bean.
  2. In the diagram editor, click an empty space where you want to create the enterprise bean.
  3. Complete the steps in the Create an Enterprise Bean wizard.
  4. Click Finish.
A new enterprise bean is created and stored in the Project Explorer view.
Tip: You can also create enterprise beans in the J2EE perspective in one of the following ways:
  • In the diagram editor, right-click an EJB JAR artifact; then click Add EJB > Enterprise Bean.
  • Click File > New > Enterprise Bean.
