Creating database views

You can use Unified Modeling Language (UML) class diagrams to create database views.

In your project, you must have a diagram that already has database and schema objects open in the diagram editor.
To create a database view:
  1. In the Palette, click View.
  2. Click inside the diagram editor where you want to place the new database view.
  3. Follow the instructions in the New View Definition wizard.
  4. Click Finish.
The view is added to the first database and the first schema under the database project in the Data Definition view.
Note: To add a database view to a particular schema in the database project, add that schema to the diagram, click the view creation tool, and click the schema.
