Managing combined fragments

In Unified Modeling Language (UML) sequence diagrams, you can add combined fragments to lifelines to represent constructs, such as options, alternatives, and loops, in visual representation of Java™ or Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB) applications.

You group messages and interaction fragments involved in an interaction in a combined fragment to compact and simplify complex interactions. You can nest interaction flows within combined fragments.
