Changing the default stereotype style for shapes

You can change the default stereotype style that appears for shapes when you add shapes to Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams or create new ones.

Note: This default setting affects only new shapes that you add to a diagram and does not affect any existing shapes.
To change the default stereotype style for shapes:
  1. Click Window > Preferences
  2. In the Preferences window, expand Modeling, expand Appearance, and click Shapes.
  3. On the Shapes page, from the Stereotype style list, complete one of the following steps:
    • To display shape stereotypes with decoration icons and text in double angle brackets (<<  >>), select Decoration and Text.
    • To displays shape stereotypes with decoration icons, select Decoration.
    • To displays shape stereotypes with shape image-based icons, select Shape Image.
    • To displays shape stereotypes with text in double angle brackets (<<  >>), select Text.
    • Not to display any shape stereotypes, select None.
  4. Click OK.
