Creating user-defined functions

You can use Unified Modeling Language (UML) class diagrams to create Structured Query Language (SQL) user-defined functions and add them to databases.

In your project, you must have a database diagram that already has database and schema objects open in the diagram editor.
To create a user-defined function:
  1. In the Palette, click User Defined Function.
  2. Click inside the diagram where you want to place the new user-defined function.
  3. Follow the instructions in the New SQL User Defined Function wizard.
  4. Click Finish.
