Windows domain account and trust requirements for the CM Server host and Rational ClearCase remote client

When the CM Server and any of its clients are running on Windows, specific domain account requirements must be met.
To ensure that users of the Rational® ClearCase® remote client can access objects in VOBs:
  • The VOB server, the CM Server, and the client hosts must be members of the same domain. If they are members of different domains, the domains must be configured with appropriate trust relationships.
  • All Rational ClearCase remote client users must have user accounts in the domain in which the CM Server is located.
  • All hosts on which the Rational ClearCase remote client runs must be properly configured to log in to the domain to which the CM Server belongs.
