DiskAccess must be configured to allow logins by the Rational® ClearCase® server
process user. After you install DiskAccess on a computer and establish a DiskAccess
log-on for yourself, configure an additional DiskAccess logon for the Rational ClearCase server
process user account on Linux® or the UNIX® system.
Note: This procedure requires an account for the
Rational ClearCase server
process user on Linux or the UNIX system. See
Common user and group names for
more information.
To configure an additional logon:
- Log on to the Windows® host as the Rational ClearCase server
process user.
- Click .
Start the DiskAccess program.
- On the Authentication page,
specify the user name and password for the Rational ClearCase server
process user on Linux or the UNIX system (the name and password that
you used in Step 1).
- Click OK.
- When you exit the program, the confirmation window should indicate
that you are authenticated on Linux or the UNIX system as the Rational ClearCase server
process user. If there is an error or if the confirmation window
shows a UID of -1 and GID of -2, you did not supply a valid name and password
in Step 3.
