Changing the default view root

You might need to change the default view root to avoid a conflict with an existing directory or network name.
If you must change the default view root, use one of the following procedures:
  • On Linux® or the UNIX® system, edit the file ccase-home-dir/etc/clearcase to change this line, which defines the viewroot on Linux or the UNIX system.

    VIEWPATH="/view"

  • On Windows®, use the ClearCase® program in Control Panel. The view root is specified as View network name on the MVFS page.
