About using the Update Tool

You can start the Update Tool from the command line using the cleartool update command with the -graphical option, and on Windows systems, from Rational® ClearCase® Explorer, or from Windows Explorer. When you are connected to the network, you can use the Update Tool to perform the following tasks:

• Determine how to handle hijacked files
• Update a snapshot view
