To request mastership after the checkout (Windows)

You can perform a nonmastered checkout, but not request mastership at the time of the checkout.

You can request mastership at any time by using the reqmaster command, or by clicking Request Mastership on the shortcut menu for nonmastered checkouts available in Find Checkouts or the Merge Manager.
