To cancel a checkout

If you do not want to check in your changes or you want to start with fresh copy, you can cancel (undo) a checkout using the command line:
cleartool uncheckout path
On Windows systems only, you can also cancel (undo) a checkout from Rational® ClearCase® Explorer or Windows Explorer:
  1. From Rational ClearCase Explorer or Windows Explorer, right-click the file or directory.
  2. On the Rational ClearCase shortcut menu, click Undo Checkout. The Confirm undo checkout window opens. Select or clear Save copy of the file with a '.keep' extension.
  3. Click Yes.
