You should not change
the version-selection rules for a view used on a UCM project.
To change
the versions a view selects on Windows systems, complete the following steps:
Complete either of the following procedures:
In Windows Explorer, right-click the view root and, in the Rational® ClearCase® pop-up
menu, select Properties of View .
In the ClearCase Explorer
Shortcut pane, complete the following steps:
Click Views.
Then click the page that contains the shortcut for the view and click
the shortcut.
In the Folder pane, right-click the root directory of the view and click Properties
of View.
In the Properties window, click Config
Spec and then click Edit.
In the Config Spec Editor, do one of the following:
From the shared config spec (created by someone in your
organization), copy rules to the Windows clipboard. Paste the rules from the
Windows clipboard into the Config Spec Editor. Ask the author of the shared
config spec whether you need to include any rules other than the ones you
paste.
Type on its own line:
includepath-to-shared-config-spec
.
Ask the author of the shared config spec whether you need to include any rules
other than the include rule.
If you are familiar with how to create version-selection rules and you
have permission to do so, create your own rules.
Click Apply.
For a dynamic view, the selection changes occur immediately.
For a snapshot view, the Start Update window opens. Click OK.
