To see the version tree of an element

You can display the version tree of an element using the lsvtree command, Rational® ClearCase® Explorer, Windows Explorer or the Version Tree Browser.

• To display the version tree of an element from a command prompt, use the following command:

  cleartool lsvtree -graphical path

  The Version Tree Browser opens. For more information, click Help in the browser window.

• To display the version tree of an element from Rational ClearCase Explorer, in either the Folder pane or the Details pane, right-click a version and click Version Tree.

• To display the version tree of an element from Windows Explorer, right-click a version in a view and click ClearCase > Version Tree.

• To display the version tree of an element from the Version Tree Browser, complete the following procedure:
  1. Click Start > Programs > IBM Rational > IBM Rational ClearCase > Version Tree Browser. The Version Tree Browser opens.
  2. Perform either of the following actions:
     • Click File > Open. Then navigate to and select an element.
     • Drag a version from Rational ClearCase Explorer or Windows Explorer to the Version Tree Browser window.
