To start a dynamic view (UNIX)

Do one of the following:

Use cleartool setview to start a dynamic view.
In the current shell, a process is started that uses the view to resolve standard paths to VOB elements.

Use the cleartool startview command.
This command starts a dynamic view but does not start the path-resolving process in your shell. You must use a view-extended path.

Tip: To see files in a private VOB, you must also mount the VOB on your workstation.
