To add dynamic view shortcuts in Rational® ClearCase Explorer (Windows)

  1. From Rational ClearCase® Explorer, in the Shortcut pane, click the Views tab. (If the Shortcut pane is hidden, click View > Shortcut Pane. Then click the Views tab.)
  2. Right-click in the Views tab and click Add View Shortcut.
  3. In the Add a New View Shortcut window, from the View Type list, select Dynamic.
  4. Select a view from the View Tag list.
  5. From the Page list, select the page of the Views tab to which you want to add the shortcut.

Place UCM views on a page that bears the name of the associated project; Do not place base ClearCase views on a page used for UCM projects.

  6. In the Description field, enter text to display in the hover help.
  7. If you want to assign the dynamic view to a drive, choose a letter from the Drive Letter list. The drive you assign to the view persists even after you reboot your computer. If you do not want to assign the dynamic view to a drive, choose {none} from the Drive Letter list.
  8. Click OK.
