Changing the appearance of the Diff Merge display

You can change the Diff Merge display characteristics by using options in the following windows:

• The Properties window (click Edit > Properties)
• The commands on the View menu
• The Options window (click Tools > Options)

In general, changes made by using the Options window and the toolbar display commands on the View menu are saved when you exit Diff Merge. Changes made with the Properties window and the locking commands on the View menu are not saved.

• To arrange contributor panes horizontally or vertically
  
• To change font characteristics (Windows)
  
• To lock contributor panes
  
• To resize panes
  
• To show or hide the browser toolbar (Windows)
  
• To set the number of spaces in a tab character (UNIX system or Linux)
  
• To show or hide carriage returns in contributor panes
  
• To show or hide line numbers in contributor panes
  
• To show or hide the navigation toolbar (Windows)
  
• To show or hide the standard toolbar (Windows)
  
• To show or hide the status bar (Windows)
  
• To show or hide pop-up ToolTips (UNIX system or Linux)
