About the Shortcut pane

By default, the Toolbox page on the Shortcut pane includes shortcuts to Rational® ClearCase® commands and the Help. On the Views page, there are shortcuts to the views that you own.

The Shortcut pane is the only location from which you can select a view to be displayed in Rational ClearCase Explorer.

Tools are organized into tool groups and divided into two pages: UCM for project-related tools and Base ClearCase for tools not related to UCM projects. The tools provided by default are classified as developer tools. To access other Rational ClearCase tools that are classified as project manager or administrator tools, in the Windows Taskbar. click Start > Programs > IBM Rational > IBM Rational ClearCase > Administration.

The Getting Started page provides access to online versions of printed documentation and Rational ClearCase tutorials.

Views are organized by UCM project (with a page for each project) and non-UCM views (the General page).

Create your own shortcuts and pages and display shortcut and view properties by right-clicking in the pane and selecting commands on the menu. You can create view shortcuts only on the Views page. On the Toolbox page, you can create URL shortcuts as well as tool shortcuts and new pages, and you can import site default shortcuts.

Any changes you make apply to the current and all future instances of Rational ClearCase Explorer on the current host.
