To locate versions or branches that have contributed to or resulted from a merge

  1. In the Version Tree Browser window, display the version tree for an element.
  2. Right-click the version or branch merge arrow.
  3. On the shortcut menu, click one of the following:
    • Locate From Node to see the version or branch that contributed to the merge.
    • Locate To Node to see the version that resulted from the merge.

    A flashlight opens in the version tree next to the result of your query to indicate the respective contributor or target version.
    Tip: If the located version or branch is not currently visible because of your selection of filter settings, you are prompted before it retrieves the data from the VOB.
  4. Click anywhere in the version tree to remove the flashlight.
