Use the Pool Browser to create, modify, or maintain
a VOB storage pool. The Pool Browser lists the name, description, and location
of storage pools used by the VOB that is selected in the File Browser. It
supports the following menus:
Directory
selector
Use the directory selector under the menu
icons to list type objects in a different VOB. The directory selector displays
the VOB tags of the VOBs mounted on your host. To display type objects in
a different VOB, click the arrow next to the directory selector and click
a VOB tag.
Pool menu
This menu
contains the following commands to manage type objects in the VOB that you
select.
- Create source pool
- Creates a pool (sdft) that stores the data containers that contain versions
of elements.
- Create cleartext pool
- Creates a pool (cdft) that caches text for versions of elements.
- Create derived pool
- Creates a pool (ddft) that stores shared derived objects-those that are
referenced by more than one view.
- Rename
- Assigns a new name to the selected pools.
- Revise creation comment
- Changes the comment string in the event record for the creation of the
selected pools.
- Describe
- Displays the properties for the selected pools.
- Destroy
- Removes storage pool directories from the VOB, along with all the data
container files stored within them. The pool being removed can have no assigned
elements.
