The VOB Tag Browser lists the VOB tags for all registered
VOBs. It supports the following menus:
Directory
selector
Use the directory selector under the menu
icons to list type objects in a different VOB. The directory selector displays
the VOB tags of the VOBs mounted on your host. To display type objects in
a different VOB, click the arrow next to the directory selector and click
a VOB tag.
VOB menu
The VOB
menu contains the following commands to perform operations on a specified
versioned object base (VOB):
- Create
- Creates and registers a VOB.
- Destroy
- Removes a VOB storage directory and all relevant entries from the network
VOB registry.
- Describe
- Lists information on the object that represents the VOB itself, for example,
its storage area, creation date, owner, and related views. (This command is
available if the VOB is mounted.)
- Space
- Reports on disk space use for views, VOBs, file-system files or directories.
- List Replicas
- Lists information about all VOB-replica objects recorded in the VOB database
of the currently selected replica. (This command is available if the VOB is
mounted.)
- List VOBs on host
- Lists registry entries for VOBs whose storage directories reside on the
workstation that you specify.
- List VOBs matching pattern
- Lists registry entries for VOBs whose VOB tag entries match the string
that you specify in the VOB tag pattern window.
Admin menu
The
Admin menu contains the following commands for performing Rational ClearCase administrative
functions on a VOB.
- Mount
- Activates at its VOB tag directory the VOB that you select in the browser
list.
- Mount all
- Activates all public VOBs listed in the VOB registry for the network region
your host.
- Unmount
- Deactivates the mounted VOBs that you select in the browser list.
- For a selected tag, displays a full, long listing of VOB properties.
- Creates an entry in the VOB_object registry.
- Creates an entry in the VOB_object registry and replaces an existing registry
entry.
- Creates an entry in the VOB_object registry with non-default paths.
- Creates an entry in the VOB_object registry with non-default paths and
replaces an existing registry entry.
- Removes an entry from the VOB_object registry.
- Removes an entry for a VOB storage directory from the VOB_object registry
by specifying the object UUID.
- Creates a VOB tag in the registry.
- Deletes a VOB tag from the registry.
