To add Rational ClearCase definitions to a Rational ClearQuest schema (pre-2.0)

Remember: Use this procedure only if you are using a pre-2.0 release of Rational® ClearQuest®.
  1. Start the Configuration application and click ClearQuest to associate Rational ClearCase® definitions with a schema.
  2. In the ClearQuest tab, log in as a Rational ClearQuest administrator. You must have permission to modify the schema in order to add Rational ClearCase definitions.
  3. In the Schema Name box, enter the name of the schema you want to modify. The schema must be checked in. To view available schemas:
    1. Start the Rational ClearQuest Schema Designer.
    2. Click View > Schema Summary.
  4. In the Record Type box, enter the name of a record type you want to associate with Rational ClearCase definitions. To view available record types:
    1. Start the Rational ClearQuest Schema Designer.
    2. Click File > Open Schema and open the schema you named in the Schema Name box.
    3. Open the Record Types folder in the Workspace pane.
  5. In the Form Name box, enter the name of a form you want to associate with Rational ClearCase definitions. To view available forms:
    1. Start the Rational ClearQuest Schema Designer.
    2. Click File > Open Schema and open the schema you named in the Schema Name box.
    3. Open the Record Types folder in the Workspace pane.
    4. Open the folder for the record type you named in the Record Type box.
    5. Open the Forms folder for that record type.
  6. Click Update ClearQuest Schema to confirm your changes, or click OK to confirm your changes and exit the Configuration application. Click Cancel to discard your changes and exit the Configuration application.

A Rational ClearCase administrator can click the ClearCase tab to set policies for associating versions with change requests for VOBs, branch types, and element types.
