To associate a version with change requests

  1. Use a Rational® ClearQuest® query to display a set of available change requests in the Records list. You can find or build a query in three ways:
    • Click an existing query in the Query box.
    • Click Browse to search for an existing query that is not listed in the Query box.
    • Click Build Query to start the Rational ClearQuest Query Wizard, which you can use to build your own query.

To have the integration use a default query, the administrator can create a query named CC Integration in the Public Queries folder.

  2. Select one or more change requests in the Records list.
  3. Click Associate to add the selected change requests to the Associated Records list.
  4. Confirm the association by clicking OK.
Tip: Your project manager may have configured a VOB to require a checked-in version to be associated with one or more change requests. This requirement may apply to all branch and element types in the VOB, or it may apply only to some branch and element types. If this requirement is in force for the version that you check in, the version must be associated with at least one change request; otherwise, the checkin cannot proceed.
