The Rational® ClearCase® integration with Office supports a tracing mechanism that can be used to help diagnose certain problems. You can enable it and disable it by using the registry.
If tracing is enabled, message windows open immediately before commands such as Check Out or Check In are issued. The message windows can be useful in determining the path of the document, or the name of the command that is about to be issued.
