Using Rational ClearCase with Microsoft Office allows many people to work on sets of files, or even the same file, at the same time. The updates are managed so that no changes are lost. With Rational ClearCase, you can also assign exclusive update privileges when you want only one person to have update access.
Working with Rational ClearCase also allows you to record each change that you make, compare changes made to different versions of Word documents, and to view a history of all changes that are made to your elements.
