Loading and unloading the add-in

After you run the Microsoft Office Integration Configuration program, the Office add-in is loaded and the Rational® ClearCase® menu is visible on the menu bars in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Unload the add-in to hide the menu.

  1. Click Tools > Customize.
  2. In the Customize window, click Commands.
  3. In the Categories box, select Tools.
  4. In the Commands tab, click COM Add-ins and drag it to the Office application toolbar.
  5. Click Close.
  6. Click the COM Add-ins button that you added to the Office application toolbar.

    The COM Add-ins window shows the list of add-ins available. If Rational ClearCase is installed (and the Microsoft Office Integration Configuration program has been run), the Rational ClearCase integration with Office add-in appears in the list.

  7. Do one of the following:
    • Set ClearCase/Word Integration to load the add-in.
    • Clear ClearCase/Word Integration to unload the add-in.
