Tip: This feature is available only for Microsoft
Word documents.
To combine an existing version of a
file with the checked-out version that you have opened in Word, perform a
merge.
Click ClearCase > Merge. The Merge window
opens and lists all the versions of the file
In the Merge window, select the version that you
want to merge into your opened document.
A
new session of Word starts in revision mode. The differences between your
current version and the version that you have selected are highlighted in
red and marked with change bars.
Use the Accept or Reject Changes window to accept
or reject the changed areas of text defined by change bars in the margin of
the document. When you are finished, click Close. The Diff Merge confirmation window opens.
Click Yes to save your changes.
Click ClearCase > Check In to check in the merged version.
Tip: If the element type of the file that
you are merging is HTML, an HTML browser window opens.
