To enable and disable the tracing mechanism

  1. Create the DWORD registry key. 
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Atria\ClearCase\CurrentVersion\Office\Tracing Enabled
  2. Set its value to 1.

    You can leave the key in the registry when it is not in use. Set the value to 0.

    Tip: The registry key is checked when an Office application first starts. Changing the registry key value while the application is running has no effect. You must shut down and restart the application before the changes are recognized.
