To attach a hyperlink to another version of the same element with text annotations

Procedure

  1. In the Version Tree Browser window, select the version of the object (the from-object).
  2. Click Hyperlink > Connect Local (+text).
  3. In the "Select hyperlink type to create" window, in the Name pane, click the entry of the hyperlink type and click OK.
  4. In the "Select to version" window, navigate to and click the version that is to have the to-object. Click OK to create the hyperlink.
  5. In the Hyperlink from field, enter the text annotation for the from-object (the HlinkFromText attribute) and click OK.
  6. In the Hyperlink to field, enter the text annotation for the to-object (the HlinkToText attribute) and click OK.

    If the to-object is in another VOB, and either the hyperlink type is not defined in that VOB or there is no global type definition, you see an error message.

  7. Click Report > Describe on the selected version and click Hyperlink to verify the attachment.
