If you have installed this debug functionality with the IBM® WebSphere® Application Server Toolkit, you use the Debug on Server action to launch a debug session.
If you have installed this debug functionality
with an IBM Rational® product,
you can launch a debug session for an application running on WebSphere Application
Server by using the Debug on Server action or by performing
a Server Attach to attach to a Web object that is running
on a remote application server. In the IBM Rational product online documentation,
help for using Server Attach to debug can be found
in the help navigation to the left. This help can easily be located by clicking
the Show in Table of Contents button (
) while you are in this page.
If you have installed this debug functionality with an IBM Rational product and you are debugging a remote WebSphere Application Server, use the WebSphere v5 Server Attach server to attach to the application server (which must already be started in debug mode before you can attach to it). Then, when you are creating the server for attaching to the application server, ensure that JavaScript™ debugging is enabled.
