In sequence diagrams, you can create an interaction use by specifying
a new unspecified occurrence or by creating a new interaction for visual representation
only.
You must have a sequence diagram with multiple lifelines open.
To create an interaction use:
- In the Palette, click Interaction
Use.
- Click inside the interaction frame and, in the window that opens,
complete one of the following steps:
- To create an interaction use with an unspecified interaction, click Unspecified.
- To create an interaction use with a new interaction, click Create
New Interaction.
- In the Add Covered Lifelines window, click
the lifelines to cover and click OK.
- Type a name for the interaction use and press Enter.
Tip: To add an interaction use to a single lifeline,
in the Palette, click Interaction Use and,
in the interaction frame, click a lifeline; then in the window that opens,
click Unspecified or Create New Interaction.
