Repositioning lifelines in sequence diagrams

In sequence diagrams, you can move a lifeline to reposition it in an interaction frame. Although the horizontal order of a lifeline does not have semantic value in the project, you can move the lifeline horizontally to position it in a location that makes the diagram easier to read.
You must have a sequence diagram open that contains lifelines.
To reposition a lifeline, in the diagram editor, click a lifeline and complete one of the following steps:
  • To move the lifeline left or right, drag the selected lifeline horizontally to a new location in the interaction frame.
  • To reorder the lifeline, drag the selected lifeline horizontally across other lifelines to a new location in the interaction frame.
Tip: To resize a lifeline, click a lifeline and drag a handle horizontally to extend its width across the interaction frame.
