Resizing combined fragments in sequence diagrams

In sequence diagrams, you can vertically resize combined fragments and you can horizontally resize interaction fragments to make a diagrams easier to read.
You must have a sequence diagram that contains at least one combined fragment with multiple lifelines open.
To resize a combined fragment:
  1. In the interaction frame, click an interaction fragment.
  2. Complete one of the following steps:
    • To resize an interaction fragment horizontally across lifelines, click an interaction fragment and drag the handles left or right across additional lifelines. In the Add Covered Lifelines window, click a lifeline and click OK. The interaction fragment resizes to the new position and covers the selected lifelines.
    • To resize a combined fragment vertically, drag the handles up or down across any messages and other interaction fragments on the same lifeline. The combined fragment resizes to the new position and the covered messages and interaction fragments are reparented to this resized combined fragment.
