Modifying SQL scrapbook pages

You can use the SQL editor to modify the SQL statements in existing SQL scrapbook pages.

To modify an SQL scrapbook page in the SQL editor:

  1. In the perspective that you are using, expand the project that contains the SQL scrapbook page.
  2. Right-click the SQL scrapbook page (.sqlpage) file, and then click Open With > SQL Editor on the pop-up menu. The SQL scrapbook page opens in the SQL editor.
  3. Optional: If you want to use content assist and a No connection message is displayed in the status bar, connect to a database.
  4. Edit the SQL statements in the SQL scrapbook page.
  5. Optional: Run the SQL statements in the SQL scrapbook page. If you run an INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE statement, you can modify the database.
  6. Save the SQL scrapbook page.
