SQL and XQuery templates provide a means for you to insert code
patterns in the SQL and XQuery statements that you create in the SQL editor.
Default templates are provided with the workbench. You can see the default
templates and review the pattern of each template in the Preferences window
(Window > Preferences).
Creating SQL and XQuery templates
You can create SQL and XQuery templates to use when you type SQL
and XQuery statements in the SQL editor.
Creating SQL and XQuery templates from existing templates
If you want to create an SQL or XQuery template with a pattern
that is similar to the pattern of an existing template, you can base the new
template on the existing template definition.
Changing SQL and XQuery templates
You can change default SQL and XQuery templates, as well as templates
that you created and imported.
Exporting SQL and XQuery templates
If you create SQL and XQuery templates to use in the SQL editor,
you can share your templates with team members by exporting them.
Importing SQL and XQuery templates
In addition to adding new templates by using the New Template window,
you can import existing SQL and XQuery templates through the SQL Editor -
Templates page of the Preferences window.
Removing SQL and XQuery templates
You can remove SQL and XQuery templates from the list of templates
that are on the SQL Editor - Templates page in the Preferences window.
Restoring removed SQL and XQuery templates
If you remove one or more default templates from the list on the
SQL Editor - Templates page in the Preferences window, you can return them
to the list.
