Introduction

This introduction summarizes the learning objectives, system requirements, and prerequisites required to work through this tutorial.

In this tutorial, users create new assets that solve specific business problems. Assets can take months or even years to develop. Because of the time and resources that are expended to create assets and solve complex problems, it is increasingly important that assets are categorized appropriately and intuitively so that other users can find and take advantage of the solutions. Reusing assets increases cross-company collaboration and encourages efficient, productive asset reuse for cross-organizational problem solving and development.
Attention: Before beginning this tutorial, contact your repository administrator and have them import the Sample Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Model (Administration > Tools > Import Sample Data > Import) Then add you as a user of the sample Service Development community with the reviewer and IT Operations roles.
