Exercise 1: Creating a new data design project

In this exercise, you will create a new data design project to use as the container for modeling objects.

To create a new data design project:

  1. In the Data perspective, click File -> New -> Data Design Project. The New Data Design Project wizard opens.
  2. Specify mytestproject as the project name in the Project name field.
  3. Click Finish.

The project that you created (mytestproject) is displayed in the Data Project Explorer view.

Now you are ready to begin Exercise 2: Accessing data models.
