ASPICE process template and practice content setup and configuration

This section of the website  is split into 3 parts and details how to:

  1. Deploy the HIS ASPICE RMC published Website
  2. Import the HIS ASPICE RTC process template
  3. Import and set up the RELM views for HIS ASPICE

Part 1. Deploying the HIS ASPICE RMC published website on a Jazz Tomcat Server

  1. Download the HIS ASPICE published website from Rational Solutions Process Assets.
  2. Save the war file or unzip the zip file in the [rtcserver_directory]\jazz\server\tomcat\webapps directory

The war file will be automatically unzipped and installed on the Jazz server

Part 2.  Import the RTC process template:

  1. Download the HIS ASPICE process template: aspice_his_v1.zip
  2. Unzip this file in a convenient place.
  3. Import the process template by following the RTC instructions (see the related topics in the online help).

Linking the Process Content to the Pubished Website by Customizing the process description hyperlink:

1. Download and make a copy of the processContent.zip file

2. Extract the folder out of the .zip file

3. In the folder open the ‘index.htm’ file with Notepad or a simple text editing program

4. In the file edit the URL that points to the RTC Web Server. If the Web server is installed locally – then ensure that the server IP address and port number are correct e.g. https://localhost:9444/  (this is the default value in the processContent.zip). If the web server is not installed locally, enter the RTC server's IP address and port number.

5. Save the Index.htm file and ensure it resides in the folder it was in originally

6. Create a zip from this folder, named processContent.zip (case sensitive) (ensuring the ‘index.htm’ file is within a folder inside it e.g. aspice\index.htm) .

7. Attach the newly created processContent.zip file to the process template:

1. Open the Process Template View (Windows/Show View/Other, expand the Team folder and select Process Templates in the Eclipse-based client).

2. In the new Process Templates view, Select the "ASPICE Process Assessment Model (HIS) V1", right-click and select ‘Open’

3. The template opens in the Workspace. Enter the Workspace and select the ‘Links’ tab at the bottom

4. In the ‘Process Attachments’ section, scroll down to find the ‘processContent.zip’ in the list

5. Click on the .zip entry and then select the ‘Replace’ option on the right-hand side

6. Navigate to the processContent.zip that you created above and select OK

7. Save the changes to the template

Now when you apply this template to a project, the link will always be pointing to the correct HTML archive

Part 3. Import the RELM HIS ASPICE Views,

There are three components to the HIS ASPICE views,

  1. A zip file containing the icons used in the views,  ICON.zip
  2. A zip file containing the view definitions, HIS_ASPICE_RELM _viewsV1.zip

Installing the Icons

  1. Download the ICON.zip file
  2. Extract the zip file
  3. Place the contents of the zip file in <path of the JazzTeamServer>\server\tomcat\webapps\ROOT
