    NOTE 7: In case of software development only, there may not be a system architectural design (see also NOTE 6).

    NOTE 6: In case of software development only, the system requirements and system architectural design refer to a given operating environment (see also NOTE 4). In that case, consistency and bilateral traceability will be of customer requirements to software requirements.

    NOTE 4: The operating environment is defined as the system that the software works in (e.g. hardware, operating system, etc.).
