Create initial hazard analysis
| The hazard analysis is a key document that captures hazards, risks, faults, and control measures together. The control
measures mitigate the risks and so must be captured as requirements on the system to manage the risks to an acceptable
level. |
Identify hazards
| Hazards are conditions to avoid. Hazards are analyzed using Fault Tree Analysis and/or Failure Means and Effect Analysis. |
Quantify risks
| Risk is the product of the severity of a hazard and its likelihood. |
Peform Fault Tree Analysis
| FTA analyses how faults and conditions interact to produce hazards. |
Perform Failure Modes and Effect Analysis
| FMEA looks at how failures accumulate to produce undesirable conditions (hazards). |
Peform Threat Analysis
| Threat analysis examines the important assets of the system, the vulnerabilities they exhibit, and the countermeasures put
into place to protect them. |
