Introduction

In order to use DOORS in support of the Systems Engineering practices, a DOORS utility is included with the SE practice library.

System pre-requisites:

  • DOORS 9.0 (or later) client
  • Local administrator access of the platform on which the client is installed

Installation of Supporting Utilities

Note: If you have a previous version of these utilities installed, you must uninstall them before installing this version

To install the DOORS utility to support the Systems Engineering practices, follow the steps below:

  1. Close any open instances of the DOORS client.
  2. Download the DOORS utility: IBMPracticesSE20121909.zip.
  3. Uncompres the contents of the zip file into the root of the folder where the DOORS client is installed.
  4. Open a DOORS client and verify that the "IBM SE Practices" menu item appears in the DOORS Database Explorer.
