Main Description

Navigate to Desired Location for Project

Using the DOORS DB Explorer, navigate to the location in the DOORS Database where you wish to create a new Systems Engineering Project.

Use the 'Create Harmony/SE Project' Utility to Create the Project

Note: You must have Create access to the current location, Modify access to the contents of that location, and the power to Create Projects in DOORS.

  1. Click the SE->Create Project menu item in the DOORS DB Explorer
  2. In the Dialog Box, fill in a Name and a Description for the Project, and click 'Create'
  3. A new DOORS Project will be created from the default Systems Engineering Template Library

Configure the Base URL for the Published Process Website

In order to enable context sensitive process guidance for your project, you need to set the base URL of the published process website. This is set separately for each DOORS project. To do this use the DOORS DB Explorer menu item 'Set Process Website for this Project'. The dialog that appears gives detailed instructions on what information to enter.

Take into account process tailoring

The initial project created by the DOORS utilities assumes that the development will use the standard set of folders and modules. If this is not the case, then these changes need to be made before the project can continue. Note that the DOORS tool mentors have been developed with the standard structure in mind and might not work if changes have been made.

Configure link schema

If the project team has decided to make changes to the standard project structure, it is likely that this will necessitate further changes to the link schema.
