Value can be different depending on what your organization measures. For example, the value of an insurance business unit is the number of claims processed. The value of an IT shop is the number of resolved service requests.  For product delivery, value is based on delivering features or functions that stakeholders need.   
 

Strategies

The following strategies help increase value in software delivery:

  • Strategy: Drive More Innovation
    • Innovation allows you to do things you could not do before. Innovation is a high strategic priority for most companies in order to increase their growth in the market or to increase stakeholder value. For product delivery, innovation is not limited to product innovation. It also includes the ability to innovate the delivery process in order to increase the value of the product and lower the cost of development.
