As part of adopting PLE you will need to verify the integrity of the artifacts and their links for product configurations and component versions. In this analysis look at each of the tools for the artifacts and verify the ability to version and baseline the artifact and to preserve the state of the artifact for that baseline. The baseline needs to be reference-able, meaning you should be able to point to the baseline, either by name or by reference.
