The maintenance stream should already be in place and span all the engineering tools that are used in a project or
program.

Steps
1. Select a proper configuration to set the product context for the work about to be performed. In this case, set the
context of a particular resolution (maintenance) stream of a specific product variant (e.g. AMR.S (GC) Mobile US
2013.FP1, which is a Fix Pack of a Mobile US variant of the AMR product).
2. Make changes in various domains while staying in the context of the specific resolution (maintenance) stream
a. When navigating from one tool to another (i.e., one engineering domain to another), the global configuration
context should not change (e.g., "AMR.S (GC) Mobile US.FP1" in both engineering tools)
b. Before making changes, create a change set that will manage that specific chunk of work, and link it to an
appropriate change management work item (Defect in this case). This will enhance navigation between defects and
change sets, and enhance review/approval process.
Note: Another advantage of change sets is that they can later be delivered to other work streams. As an example, a
defect may be fixed for the US market, and then later deliver to the UK market. Without change sets, you would need
to deliver all of the work in a stream, but with change sets, you can selectively deliver specific fixes from one
stream to another.
