The performing role updates the defect with information required to reproduce the problem (e.g. product version, file
against, priority, etc.), adds a link to a relevant product release configuration, and creates child tasks that get
assigned to individual Domain Engineers.

Steps
1. Review new defect(s)
a. View product line dashboard to locate submitted defects
b. Review each new defect
i. For each new defect, determine whether it is critical and needs to be investigated. This should be based on
the attributes (e.g. Severity attribute) set by the user who submitted the defect.
ii. Assign priority
iii. Review where defect was found in (i.e. which product variant or release)
iv. File the defect against a relevant product variant and component (i.e. perhaps the defect is already
isolated to a specific component of a product, and only occurs in a specific variant, like the Mobile variant
of the product)
c. Assign defect to a Domain Engineer to investigate and reproduce
2. Add link to a relevant product configuration
a. For each product version that this defect was Found In, add a link to a corresponding product (global) baseline
