Rational Practices for Systems Engineering Utility for Rational DOORS

This utility installs the following into your DOORS home directory:

-Library DXL to display IBMPractices/SE menus on your DOORS client
-A IBMPractices/SE based project archive with folder structure, modules, and mandatory link modules.
	-Project archive based upon "Rational_IBMPracticesSE_Standard_Template_.dpa"

Uninstall the patch:
-------------------
Open Add/Remove Programs, browse to the installed application and click on the Remove button. Follow the dialogue.

Project Template:
---------------
The IBMPractices/SE project template was built to follow the "out of the box" IBMPractices/SE traceability schema. Please see the "Traceability Guideline" in the IBMPractices/SE process for more information. The template project contains the module artifacts as specified in the Traceability Guideline. These modules also have linkset pairings enforced as specified by the Traceability Guideline. In the project template there are a few exceptions to the Traceability Guideline because the module or linkset pairing could not be created before the working project existed in the tool. Please see the following tool mentors for more information: Create Individual IBMPractices/SE Documents in DOORS and Initializing an IBMPractices/SE Project in Rational DOORS.

Module Templates:
---------------
The IBMPractices/SE module templates are kept in the "Admin" folder of the project. When the user invokes a menu to create a specific module, the new module is created from the template in the Admin folder into a pre-specified folder. The folder hierarchy and template names are specifically defined and the standard menu functionality will break if the default template names and/or folder hierarchy is changed. If you wish to make your own module templates, you must use the default naming conventions, or consult your DOORS Professional Services representative. When the new module is created, it will contain linkset pairings for the default modules that were created by the original project creation. It is up to the user to specify linkset pairings from the newly created module to any module created after the original project creation. It is up to the user to specify linkset pairings from any module to the newly created module.
