Lesson 1: Create an analysis configuration for architectural discovery

This lesson shows you how to prepare to run an architectural discovery analysis of Java™ source code by creating an appropriate analysis configuration.

To run an architectural discovery analysis, you must specify the source code files to analyze, the analysis provider or domain to use, and the rules to apply.

You create, manage, and run configurations for analysis in the Create, run, and manage configurations window. The analysis capabilities are available by default in the Resource, Debug, Java, C++, and Modeling perspectives.

If you need analysis capabilities in another perspective, you can customize that perspective to add analysis capabilities.
